"I WANT A UNION BECAUSE... I feel well supported by my program director, but the stipend amount and insurance coverage doesn't cut it for me. haven't been to the dentist in a couple of years, and I limit my eye doctor visits to once per year because of the cost. To save money I don't have a monthly t-pass but this means I have to bike for 30 minutes regardless of the weather to get to campus. Being a graduate worker is already hard enough without the cards stacked against us. I work hard and I believe that this should be reflected in better pay and better insurance coverage." --ANONYMOUS
