Macklin Celebrini just had a 98 MPH one-timer. His previous hardest shot this season was 93.57 MPH against the Avalanche on Nov 1. #SJSharks

Marcus Foligno on the #SJSharks rebuild and future:
“They're a couple moves away and a little bit more experience in that lineup, I think goes a long way. They’ve got promising goaltending and obviously a future Hall of Famer. So I think [they’re] going to be built around that, and that just kind of escalates the whole process of rebuilding pretty quick. We knew coming in here was going to be hard, especially in their home rink. So it's getting back to those days of Marleau, Thornton and Pavelski right? We're done with them now, and that's a good thing.

Drew Doughty on Macklin Celebrini making Team Canada: “I’m not surprised. That guy is a very good player. I’m actually shocked as how good he is both ways. That’s the one thing about him, yeah, he puts up a ton of points, but he plays defensively too, so I could see him in that starting lineup.”
Thanks to my @NHLMedia colleagues, Dan Greenspan and @sroarke_nhl, for getting the quote and sharing it.

Genuinely don't remember the last time I've experienced a blizzard quite as treacherous as the one we're seeing in Calgary right now

That’s the hockey culture. Torn ACL and still made his way to the bench without help. Oh and he stripped the puck and got an assist on the way. What a warrior. What a sport. Hoping for a full recovery.
RT @CurtisPashelka: Celebrini smashes his stick as he leaves the ice. Sharks fall to 0-4-2 despite outshooting the Islanders 30-23.

Celebrini is hooked, so Smith fired a shot right at Schmid from center ice to get the whistle and 1:08 of 5 on 3. Very smart hockey from Smith
