I am delighted and very honoured to have been appointed by Minister @AnneRabbitte to the Disability Stakeholders Group for a 3 year term. Looking forward to bringing my lived experience to the table & helping to monitor the National Disability Inclusion Strategy.

The heavens got a new angel today, an Irish one at that. One whose voice lit up the sky long before he went to heaven. One whose voice moved the hearts of people around the world. Glen was angelic and mystical. He was kind, loving, and talented. He leaves behind a family, a legion of friends, like Bono and my sweet brother, bobby who just hung with him in a pub in Ireland, connecting the way one does in a pub in Ireland.
Glen sang at both of my parents’ funerals. At my mother’s, he sang “Forever Young” while our Special Olympic athletes placed their medals on top of her casket. At my father‘s funeral, he sang with Bono and the entire church was transcended. He will be forever young, and he died way too young.
To those for whom he was family, my heart goes out to you. To those who love his music, keep listening. to those who believe in prayer, a new angel is up there to pray to. Amen. ❤️🩹

28 years on, #PrincessDiana’s empathy still echoes. She didn’t just challenge #HIV stigma around— she reshaped the public’s understanding of the epidemic, one hand-shake, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time. We honour our late Patron today by continuing that work.

This would be a fantastic development for Dublin and indeed other cities throughout Ireland. I'd certainly feel safer in town at night if it was peppered with residential homes. We have to start to consider every space given the current housing situation!!
On a day when the Stardust families should be respected & remembering their loved one's who were unlawfully killed, they are disrespected yet again. Absolutely disgraceful! #stardust
On the first Stardust anniversary since the inquest found that all 48 victims were unlawfully killed, families have called changes to the memorial wall a "disgrace."

I’ve worked on desks for newspapers and magazines in the UK and Ireland and can do strategy work and plenty of social media work. Portfolio samples are at my #LinkInBio. RTs appreciated ✍️👩🏻💻 #Journorequest
A really honest & and straightforward interview by @HHumphreysFG
By all accounts, a reflection of the lady herself. A big loss to public life. Wishing the Minister a healthy & happy retirement.

We now have the right to complain if our rights are not met but in reality little support to make those complaints and shouldn’t the real test be preventing the complaints and cases against the state by giving us full rights in the first place?! #Disability
“In a statement IHREC said that while the announcement was "an important step"… much remained to be done regarding the full implementation of the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.”

Can you imagine the absolute craic there'll be when #Maggie_Smith enters Heaven? We won't see her like again!

On the hunt again for OLD style Peppa pigs for Jack, must be the TY version with beans in the bum. The modern versions in all the shops won’t do. I looked for a few this time two years ago & was lucky to get two plus a bonus big one. He loves her & is rarely seen without her. TIA
Heartbroken listening to this Dad advocate for his son. HOW & WHY are this child & others being allowed to suffer & I am purposely using the word suffer. I would not be as physically able as I am now had I not had the necessary orthopaedic surgery I had as a child. Disgraceful

Harvey being removed from scoliosis surgery list without notice is an 'absolute disaster', according to his father

I am sharing a personal statement that my family and I have made in response to my brother’s announcement.
Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to meet Leigh, but I know through others in the disabiliry community that she was a supreme advocate & the impact she had on many lives will be her legacy. May she rest in power & peace.
Leigh was a force of nature, she never ever stopped fighting for people with disabilities, I can't believe she's gone 💔
RIP (no doubt improving accessibility at the Pearly Gates by now)
