Huge congratulations to @BraunsteinJulia and @LuisePhil for being awarded the Marietta-Blau Grant 👏🏼 Proud of you!
Last week our research assistants @marlalalalaa and @ElisaWarmuth participated in KinderUni 👧🏻👦🏽
In two workshops they taught kids about psychological and neuroscientific research 🧠 and also carried out small experiments with them 🤩
Congratulations to our @ClausLamm for being one of the finalists for the FKNE Mentoring Prize 2024 🥳 #FENS2024
So well deserved! 👏🏼
Our lab head @ClausLamm gave a keynote "public outreach" within the prestigious Wiener Vorlesungen format, about Empathy in Humans, Animals,

Meanwhile, in Vienna, it's Day 3 without the scannies (@MagdalenaBoch @boryana_td
@kim_doell @BiancaASchuster) who are living it up in Japan at @S4SNeuro. We, here in Vienna, are enjoying a lovely lunch break and definitely NOT missing anyone...

A call for action by our @kim_doell for neuroscientists to join the fight against climate change @S4SNeuro 💪🏼
Happy new year from us! 🥳😊
Following with our tradition we present to you our year in figures and wish you all the best for 2024!

…under testosterone, our prosocial choices are more random despite "knowing" what would be the right choice. Such findings support dominance models of testosterone and suggest that the hormone shifts decisions to counteract conformity and deceptive reputation strategies.(3/3)
Humans tend to be nicer towards others when being watched. A new study in @NPP_Journal, led by @hana_kutlikova & @lei_zhang_lz, reveals that testosterone administration fully eliminates such strategic prosociality doi.org/10.1038/s41386-023-0… (1/3)
@ScanUnit and @SilaniLab had a lab retreat above the clouds ☀️
We had a great time skiing/hiking ⛷️🥾 in Mönichkirchen and we got there all by public transport 🚆🌍
Special thanks to @ClausLamm for making this possible 😊 and Max Eder for organizing the trip💙
