He also weighed in against comparing private-business exclusion of the unvaccinated to historical atrocities. The messaging normalized pressure and treated personal choice as the remaining obstacle to ending the pandemic. In March 2022, already boosted, he tested positive, experienced symptoms, and still called for the next shot. The same actor who told the public the shots would let everyone “move on to the next catastrophe” caught the virus anyway and kept the script.
