We've made over $23.5M in sales in the last 12 months!
Shopify drove $20M at a lower margin while growing our subscription program, while Amazon's $3.5M brought in the majority of profits — Here's my EXACT strategy.
A Thread 🧵
Like, RT, & Comment "PROFIT" (must be following) and I'll send you a checklist you can do to increase your Sales by launching on Amazon. I have nothing to sell you...
"I am doing $100k+/m on Shopify and $0 on Amazon because it would take forever to get reviews and nobody will buy my product"
No mf - you're just out of your mind - it's so easy to get reviews on Amazon.
🧵Like, RT and DM Me "Reviews" to get my SOP for getting reviews on Amazon Fast, and at least 30 reviews in your first month.
I went to Capital Club 2023 because I wanted to meet Steve.
Here's my honest review of the event:
✅Members of the event: 10/10
✅Speakers: 10/10
My impression of "Kite Luke" (He was high 24/7) wasn't the best. I even paid a deposit towards Capital Club 2024! I decided against it in the last moment...
🧵Some more details below about my encounter with Steve and Luke...
Post your experience in the comments!
Steve:
After the event I wanted to get in touch with Steve because I thought that they can add a lot of value to a business opportunity I have. Steve signed documents as an executive of Capital Club on all the NDAs and what not, and he seemed to be leading all the discussions and negotiations.
I was very impressed by his professionalism and honesty.
Why I didn't go to Capital Club 2024:
I decided against it, not because of the cost (I even gave a deposit a year before I lost) but because I thought that spending a week of my life listening to Luke's agenda is useless. He went offrails completely in 2024 and I said to myself... Why on earth will I spend a week of my life following this guy's agenda? All the weed and him being high 24/7 in the last event left a really bad taste in my mind.
Now that I know Steve wasn't even there and that everybody was given drugs in a muslim country is completely beyond me, some people have a literal death wish. How stupid can you be to hand out drugs in a Muslim country?
The only thing I can do is thank god I didn't end up going. Not because of the money - but because of the risk associated with such activities and because I did not want to follow Luke's agenda.
Steve was the one that balanced his brain cells I guess - but since Steve got fraudulently booted out, that balance is gone already....
#5 How everything changes:
When you just start out, most ecom sellers crack one platform. Usually, it's Meta or Tiktok. There's a saturation point with every product and platform where you need to start maximizing profits from your existing customers because you cannot continue to acquire new customers at a profit.
Just imagine that you're currently running at 2 ROAS...
What if by adding Marketplaces and Brand search ads, you can now make 40% more sales? Your ROAS becomes 2.8. You can go harder and scale your sales to a point where your blended ROAS is 2 again, but now your sales have doubled or tripled.
#6 If I had to do it all over again:
If you are reading this post, you most likely have some kind of winning creative and platform that works for you. I would keep focusing on growing that platform and make it better. I would never want to turn away from the hand that is feeding my business. That should be your core focus.
I would either hire an agency or a freelancer to setup Amazon & Google search in the best way possible. I always prefer a freelancer for the setup, because you would most likely need to send Amazon some documents about the product that only your supplier has. It's best to put them in touch. A good freelancer would know what needs to be done, from a compliance standpoint, to Vine Reviews, Creator Connections, FBA setup, Brand search ads, and Defense Ads.
If your core ad platform is automated, learn it yourself — this will be the highest leverage thing you can do
3 Marketplaces:
This is where it starts making sense.
Most ecommerce businesses can get at least 10% of new customer acquisition sales in Amazon if the product isn't that good (i.e. 3.5 average star reviews).
If the product is average, you can expect 20–30% of new customer acquisition sales in Amazon.
Read this again – if you make $1m in sales and your product is decent, you can earn another $200–$300k in sales on Amazon.
I don't like Walmart as much as I like Amazon, but I heard from others that they can expect another 10% of Amazon to go into Walmart. For me that ratio is much lower though.
eBay has a lot of compliance but this is another way to make money by just continuing to do everything you do on Meta or Tiktok.
#4 Brand Search:
This is the final and also almost most important part of this puzzle.
We estimate that about 15% of sales come from brand search on Google, Bing, YouTube, Gmail sponsored ads, etc. People who look for you on Google want to buy your product. Help them find your website.
#3 Display Ads:
You can remarket to anyone that viewed your product or anyone that purchased a product of yours. This is the time to sell complementary products that you offer to existing customers, or just retarget them so they can complete the purchase.
#4 Defense Ads:
This is the holly grail of brand marketing on Amazon.
When you go to any listing on Amazon, it's flooded with ads for competitors. You have to protect this ad space and funnel your customer into purchasing your product by blocking other advertisers from occupying this ad space.
The exact targeting is literally your own product. These ads are shown on your product page - and you want to have bundles, video ads, other product you sell, the same product in a different color, all appear as an ad on the listing.
Good luck! :)
