Happy to see this finally out in PRB as a Letter: journals.aps.org/prb/abstrac…. We went through 3 gruelling rounds at PRL before this acceptance. We show that the Floquet central spin model provides a platform for realizing time crystals, entanglement steering, and quantum metrology.

Extremely excited to join the fantastic group of researchers at @TIFR_Bio. Looking forward to build long term collaborations with the talented workforce who constitute the @TIFRScience ecosystem!
The “second brain” takes center stage! We welcome our new faculty member, @surojitsural, whose research group will uncover the cellular & molecular basis of neuronal plasticity, with a focus on the enteric nervous system. We look forward to the discoveries ahead, @TIFRScience!

We demonstrate that that CD driving provides a powerful tool for steering collective spin systems along entangled trajectories for a long time. This leads to dynamical stroboscopic freezing and eternal entanglement oscillations for a large class of initial states.

We believe that our work opens a new route to evade Floquet heating and control entanglement generation in collective spin systems.

This is a bizarre headline from the @nytimes , given that the @Nature paper published today does not make this bold claim at all. If a topological qubit were ever actually demonstrated, it would be a pinnacle of human achievement. But today is apparently not the day.

Physics texts tell us particles come in only 2 types - fermions or bosons. Our Nature paper today shows other, thought-to-be forbidden, particles are possible. Why you should care & addressing a concern I’m sure some experts have: “this must be wrong!” (warning: mammoth thread)
