I wrote to the Government with cross-party MPs last night opposing this decision.
Rosebank and Jackdaw wonโt cut bills they'll just boost profits of fossil fuel giants.
If every country pursues its own deluded self interest the costs of climate breakdown will be unbearable.
Energy Secretary @Miatsf has agreed that the regulator can grant consent for gas to be produced at the licensed Jackdaw field.
Gas from Jackdaw is expected to start reaching British homes and businesses as early as the end of this month.

On the 12th of October the Quantock Staghounds met in West Bagborough. They proceeded to hunt multiple stags and one eyewitness report from the day details an extremely concerning and disturbing incident.
What was described as a "gigantic stag" ran across the A39 in an attempt to escape the hunt. The stag โwas flipped over the top of the car. Its leg kicked out smashing the rear nearside window. The Stag landed heavily on the verge.โ
Thankfully the driver and her young child were unharmed but were extremely shaken up. The hunt's response to this was to flee the scene as police were called. The eyewitness, despite looking for the stag, couldn't see him. The extent of his injuries and his fate are unknown.
Despite criminal charges being brought against hunt master Chris Gibbons and huntsman Martin Watts for the killing of a stag on the 16th of March 2026 and a further charge for Watts relating to hunting in working quarry, this has been no deterrent for their escalating behaviour.

The Aberfan Memorial Garden stands on the site of Pantglas School, where 109 children and 5 teachers died when the coal tip collapsed onto the village.

Former Labour Party official @PowerSayeed says he is disappointed by the approval of the Jackdaw gas field, saying there is "very little benefit" to Brits.
"This is a privately owned site. They'll be making all the money out of it. They'll be selling it on international markets - therefore it cannot benefit our bills!"
