Friendly reminder that the repealed section of Regulation 84-20 did not ban abortions in "private" clinics.
It prevented providers from billing Medicare for abortions performed outside of approved hospitals.

Yesterday's announcement allows for publicly funded abortions to be provided in community care settings, not just in select hospitals.
