Welcome Happy to SHUG! Happy was picked up by Animal Control as a stray and is fostered in Texas. Despite his rough physical condition, Happy lives up to his name! He loves everyone and his tail never stops. More info in comment :)

In addition to a “happy tail” injury, Happy has a wound on his foot and some pretty severe skin problems, but the vet thinks these things will heal in a few weeks. We’re hoping this sweet boy will be ready for his new home in about a month. Submit your app today! #rescuedog

Update on April! This sweet galga came to us with multiple injuries and began to have severe health issues, which vets diagnosed as exposure to rat poison. After two months, two blood transfusions, lots of tests, and meds, April is now doing a lot better. More in comment!

She is still severely anemic and on iron supplementation 3x a day, but we expect April to make a full recovery and hope she can go to her forever home next month. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl, submit an application on our site.

Unlike many IGs, Winks does her business outside! She gets along with dogs, cats, and people and loves to snuggle. She came us a little overweight but is slowly gaining back her girlish figure. We were told Winks was around 2 years old, but our vet thinks she's 3 or so.

Cade will only be placed with dogs his size or larger because he does tend to play a little rough. He is not cat- or small-animal safe. Cade is a happy, active boy who would be a great family dog. He’d love to do dog sports!

Update on April! Our vet team is now convinced that this sweet girl was exposed to rat poison, and we are seeing the effects as it works its way through her system. She's a happy, bouncy little girl who likes to walk along the back of her foster mom's couch like a cat...

...but her blood values are awful and her clotting factors are still very alarming. April has had blood transfusions and is on vitamin K and iron daily. She can't travel, be spayed, or even vaccinated until her blood work improves, so we're all waiting for good news 🤞🤞🤞
