Thank you @AGAshleyMoody for appointing me to the DSO Board of Directors. I'm honored to be on the board and I look forward to continue working to bring about change in Florida. #SurvivorWarrior #humantrafficking @Book4Senate @RepFitzenhagen @oikonidaris @TobyOverdorf
Today, I announced my appointees to the DSO for the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking.
These three appointees bring broad, diverse perspectives to the table and will contribute greatly to our mission to fight #humantrafficking in FL.

Proud to present Special Counsel Rita Peters with the Hope Award at this year’s Night of Hope and Healing reception.
Rita is a bulldog prosecutor, champion for human trafficking victims, and serves as one of our victim’s rights advocates.

Today I walked with @LeaderBookFL to raise awareness about childhood sexual assault.
Some dates stay with you.
Not because you haven’t healed, but because healing isn’t forgetting.

Congratulations to my friend, Jeanette Nuñez on her confirmation as President of @FIU.
Survivors carry invisible wounds. #VirginiaGiuffre death forces us to see them and each other more clearly. There is no neat ending to Survival. Healing is a war, and we are still here, still fighting.

Healing isn't about forgetting or pretending the past didn't happen-it's about learning how to hold it differently. It's finding the strength to live fully despite it, to rewrite the way it shapes your life.

A few weeks ago in an interview I was asked if I felt like I had freedom now. I’ve thought about that question a lot since then and wrote this!

Florida has zero tolerance for people who abuse women and girls. We will not allow it.
Last week, I directed my office to work with our law enforcement partners to conduct a preliminary inquiry into Andrew and Tristan Tate.
Based on a thorough review of the evidence, I’ve directed the Office of Statewide Prosecution to execute search warrants and issue subpoenas in the now-active criminal investigation into the Tate brothers.

It has been a sad weekend in Lake County!
.@CaseyDeSantis and I are saddened to hear of the attack on three deputies from the Lake County Sheriff's Office on Friday night. Please join us in praying for the family, friends, and colleagues of Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Link, who was killed in the line of duty. This hero made the ultimate sacrifice to help keep his community safe.
Two other deputies were injured while bravely responding to the attack. We are praying for their full recovery, and our thoughts are with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office following this tragedy.
The three individuals who ambushed the deputies in Eustis are dead, and the individual who led the deputies to the ambush has been detained.
Last night I was shocked and honored to receive the 2024 Unsung Hero Award at the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking Night of Hope and Healing Gala.

We don’t often talk about the continuous challenges survivors face surrounding medical care. I posted this blog this morning and then went to an appointment and was faced with another negative experience.

Thank you @GovRonDeSantis & @AGAshleyMoody – at Florida, USA
Florida is a zero-tolerance state for human trafficking. @GovRonDeSantis and the Florida Cabinet stand united in our resolve to stop traffickers and rescue victims.
We are recognizing National #HumanTrafficking Prevention Month with a Cabinet Resolution that states our steadfast commitment to end this atrocious crime.
