Getting back on Twitter to make it clear that this is the dumbest fucking thing ever workspaceupdates.googleblog.….

I'm now realizing that this vote probably got thrown out for being considered an overvote in the first rank. Seriously, RCV needs to allow equal rankings.
I found @LondonBreed's biggest supporter. This voter filled in all 10 rank bubbles next to London Breed. Then, they wrote London’s name in and filled in all 10 of those bubbles, too. 😭

As voting method reformers, we care deeply about addressing the root causes of problems. The root cause of this problem is that Ranked Choice Voting is worse than Choose One Voting.

inb4 Missouri had ballot candy. Yes, I know, I live here. However, if banning RCV was alone as an amendment, I think there's a good chance Missourians still would have passed it.

I’m going to delete the Twitter app off my phone and tablet for a while.

Yes, it’s perfectly legal for a private citizen to give personal funds to other private citizens, as it should be. If you have a lot of personal wealth and you’re running for office, you should do exactly this. I cannot stress enough that giving people money is a good thing.
Trump hands out cash to a voter in Pennsylvania. Is this legal?

Caught the dirty delete. Btw, people try to assassinate major presidential candidates all the time. It’s only recently that the Secret Service has (embarrassingly) failed to prevent any shots being fired since Regan.

Y’all, if you don’t know these fine folks, I’m telling you this panel is going to be straight 🔥🔥🔥 equal.vote/evs
How do you feel about open primaries, top 2 runoffs, top 4 runoffs, or other options? How do the considerations change when you pair these options with different voting methods? Join our symposium to hear our expert speakers, then share your perspective in a break-out session.

This might be my favorite discourse right now. Yes, I’m including the Debate™
Counterpoint. You cannot randomly select an uncomputable number, so the probability of randomly selecting one is 0.

Happened to call the other spouse once during donor calls. When she mentioned we chatted on speaker months before, I searched for her last name in my “Keep Track” tab on my spreadsheet. Immediately found her husband’s name and just said it. They were absolutely floored 😂
*guy who doesn't know what salesforce does* how tf does every vendor I meet with remember exactly what we talked about six months ago and ask how my dog is doing

My “Keep Track” tab was literally just people I called who I felt I had a good convo with, regardless of whether they donated. I took extensive notes on every single convo. There were a lot of them! (I’ve never given or sold any of that data to anyone btw)

I will never get over the irony that ***Texas*** is blowing away the rest of the country in deploying solar, wind, and batteries. Just let people build stuff and clean energy will win.

This might swing the election in Kamala’s favor. Likely not, but it’s a possibility.
BREAKING: The Michigan Supreme Court rules that Robert Kennedy's name stays on the ballot.

How strongly correlated is happiness with GDP? I suspect it’s decent but less than 0.9.
Far too many people: "GDP is bad. I prefer [thing correlated at 0.9 with GDP]."

Various sources disagree on the exact number by as much as 20 points, but here’s one. Not sure if this means 0.5664 or sqrt(0.5664)=0.7526

Tax on unrealized gains will never affect me and it is also braindead policy. The problem is banks writing bad loans to rich people. If banks have special power to create new money through loan writing, then loan writing needs to be regulated (beyond just fractional reserves).

better regulate the loan writing process. If banks want the privilege to create money, then they shouldn’t be allowed to abuse it for their own gain. They shouldn’t be allowed to write bad loans like this. Taxing unrealized gains on stock price increases

without crediting the losses is just stupid and would absolutely wreck capital investment in ways that would harm regular people by proxy. (Hot take:) it’s a lot like demographic quotas: a pretend fix that ignores the real problems and causes new ones.
