WHEAT MARKET OUTLOOK MONDAY🌾 Wheat futures remain under pressure from weak U.S. export demand and larger corn inventories, although strong Canadian exports and continued Black Sea disruptions are supporting the physical market. With harvest nearly complete, attention is shifting toward final crop quality and potential milling wheat premiums. The durum market remains focused on quality, with Canadian exports well ahead of last year and St. Lawrence values strengthening toward USD $335/t. Although global supplies remain comfortable, variable grading could support premiums for higher-quality milling durum. This harvest season, many producers across Canada are navigating rain delays, quality losses, and financial uncertainty. Five ways to navigate a season of loss and grief: 1) A difficult harvest is a real loss, and grief is a reasonable response. 2) Acknowledge the season before moving on 3) Talk to those around you about what's happening 4) Use your body as a guide for how you're doing. 5) Find understanding in shared experience If you or someone you know needs support, find crisis lines, ag-informed counselling, and mental health resources at hubs.ly/Q04z5cjZ0 #CdnAg #MentalHealthMatters

UPCOMING WEBINAR: Oct. 28 @ 11 a.m. Join Dr. Tyler Wist @TylerWist1 , Research Scientist with @AAFC_Canada , Saskatoon as he shares insights into his funded wheat research project under the Sustainable Canadian Agriculture Partnership. This funded research targets wheat midge and its parasitoids across the western Canadian Prairies. Funding from a previous CAP resulted in the discovery of a mechanism behind oviposition deterrence (preventing insects from laying eggs) in several wheat varieties. @wheat_research #CdnAg #webinar #wheat #research #SKAg Register here👇 us06web.zoom.us/webinar/regi…

Staging wheat for pre-harvest weed control can be tricky, especially in years when the crop is uneven due to poor conditions. Pre-harvest staging is critical to avoid any herbicide residues in the grain, which can lead to Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) and marketability issues. Read more: saskwheat.ca/pre-harvest-man…
