Before passing judgment, please understand the tradition ❤️
We don’t traditionally celebrate Bathukamma in my family, so this was my very first! And I’ve married into a family from the very heart of Telangana - Karimnagar.
See that rather large floral Bathukamma in the background ? I spent pretty much the whole day decorating it 😂, and that’s what we celebrated with!
The silver Bathukamma was my mother-in-law’s way of welcoming me into a tradition that’s so close to her heart ❤️
Surely, there’s room for a mother’s love alongside tradition ❤️

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has identified assets worth an estimated ₹2.28 crore in a disproportionate assets case against Arkapally Anjaneyulu, an inspector at Keesara police station in the Medchal-Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate.
The ACB registered the case on October 17, 2026, alleging that Anjaneyulu had acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income through 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 during his service.
The case was registered under Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018.
Properties, cash and gold among assets identified
During searches at his house, office and four other locations linked to relatives, associates and benamidars, the ACB found documents relating to several properties and other assets.
The findings include:
Two plots with old houses: Two plots measuring 150 square yards each at Lingojiguda, Saroornagar, valued at ₹30 lakh.
House in Mansoorabad: An old house measuring 240 square yards at CR Enclave, LB Nagar, valued at ₹40 lakh.
Under-construction house: A house measuring 180 square yards at Perur village, valued at ₹50 lakh.
Agricultural land: Two acres at Haliya in Miryalaguda, valued at ₹80 lakh. Further enquiries indicated that Anjaneyulu had acquired more agricultural land in the same area.
Cash: ₹7 lakh.
Gold ornaments: Gold weighing 60 tulas, valued at approximately ₹5 lakh.
Car: A Maruti Vitara Brezza ZDi+ BSVI, valued at around ₹6.5 lakh.

Inspector arrested earlier in alleged bribery case
According to the ACB, Anjaneyulu was caught on September 16, 2026, while working as an inspector at Keesara police station, when he allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹8 lakh and accepted ₹5 lakh through sub-inspector D. Gyanender Reddy in return for an official favour.
The ACB said Anjaneyulu was arrested on September 17 and produced before the ACB court. He is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison and is to be produced before the court on a prisoner transit warrant.
The bureau said the disproportionate assets case was under investigation.
The ACB has asked the public to report demands for bribes by public servants through its toll-free number, 1064, or its official social media platforms. It said the identity and details of complainants would be kept confidential.

Keesara deputy tahsildar, VRO held in ACB trap over ₹5 lakh bribe demand
A Deputy Tahsildar and a Village Revenue Officer (VRO) of Keesara mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district were caught in an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trap on Thursday for allegedly demanding a ₹5 lakh bribe to remove agricultural properties belonging to a complainant’s family from the prohibited list.
According to an ACB press note, Deputy Tahsildar Amanaganti Sandeep Kumar Reddy allegedly demanded ₹5 lakh and accepted an initial payment of ₹2.5 lakh through a private individual, Kavali Balakrishna.
The bribe was sought for processing and completing the work related to removing agricultural properties registered in the names of the complainant’s mother and other family members from the prohibited list under Section 22-A of the Registration Act, 1908.
VRO allegedly acted as intermediary
The ACB said Village Revenue Officer Nannuri Vijay Kumar Reddy allegedly instigated Balakrishna, the second accused, to receive the bribe amount from the complainant on the Deputy Tahsildar’s instructions.
Balakrishna accepted ₹2.5 lakh as part payment of the demanded bribe and was caught by ACB officials of the Rangareddy range. The tainted amount was recovered from his possession at his instance, the agency said.
The ACB stated that the two revenue officials had acted improperly and dishonestly to obtain an undue advantage.
The Deputy Tahsildar, the VRO and Balakrishna were produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally for judicial remand. The case is under investigation.
The bureau urged the public to report bribe demands by government officials through its toll-free number 1064. Complaints can also be submitted through the Telangana ACB’s official social media channels.

Thank you @KTRBRS sir for speaking out against the illegal arrest of Saurav and Ashutosh.
If there is one group of people really fighting for this country's future, it is the youth, the Gen Z of this nation.
To imprison them because they are trying to clean up the system reeks of insecurity
Slapping trespassing cases on @SauravDassss & @AshutoshRanka is absolutely uncalled for. Five-day judicial custody for waving Indian flags at Jantar Mantar is a new level of Emergency!
Don't forget that the country attained its freedom through protests and movements like these. Dissent is the cornerstone of any democracy.
