Her research uncovers how our digital lives we leave behind after we die can become a source of stress when unplanned for, but also a source of comfort and connection when addressed.

In this study, we analyzed urine samples from lung #cancer patients to help predict when a person is in their last 30 days of life. This will hopefully help improve care by identifying people who need #palliativecare.

Our amazing @LiverpoolHosp Physiotherapist. Colette is such an amazing person, who I am extremely lucky to work with 💛
Marie Curie Liverpool Hospice-based Physiotherapist, Colette Parfitt, is awarded the Susie Wilkinson Award 2025!
Colette was nominated for research on generating evidence of staff confidence in the Falls Early Warning Score (FEWs), an inpatient assessment tool to reduce the number of falls. Colette has an ongoing vision to implement the tool nationally and have it adopted in other palliative care settings. #MCResearch2025

Great to be able to share the findings from my PhD scoping review, focussed on digital legacy in planning for the end of life at #MCResearch2025!
Digital legacy can be an important way to create and leave memories, provide space for reflection and a sense of empowerment.
Congratulations to our Liverpool hospice physio Colette on winning the Susie Wilkinson Award recognising her personal research development. Colette's work focuses on an observational assessment tool to reduce the incidence of falls in a hospice IPU, carried out in @LiverpoolHosp
