This road is not important for car access as there are alternatives but it is a VERY busy route for young #carless people walking to uni and school @BGSBristol and @BristolUni should strongly object to it being reopened imho!
Prioritising motor traffic goes against both local and national guidelines, which should see pedestrians at the top of the traffic hierarchy. The council's own officers admit that. Yet this road looks likely to be reopened to cars. bristol247.com/news-and-feat…

I can’t afford a bike I can lift up and I am unable to push my bike for distances so this is a no go for me. I have only the option of crossing in central london and I am spitting feathers of fury that a crossing for container trucks (Silvertown tunnel) is being built instead

The £700,000 cycle lane along #KensingtonHighStreet is being ripped out this week after less than two months. I used it tonight and met a mum and daughter who didn't know it was being removed. I hope @RBKC council might watch this and think again
