Israel has spent years trying to explain to the world what it has been dealing with. Maybe our most effective PR campaign was never going to come from Israel at all. Maybe it’s this...👇

The Spectator revealed yesterday that she had (among other things) defended Hamas, questioned the UN investigation into mass rape by the terror group, blamed the 7/10 attacks on the creation of Israel in 1948 and compared Israel to the Nazis. Since then, Helm has been frantically doubling down. She has reposted a tweet saying that 'Zionism [is] racism,' the thing that got Zack Polanski's Greens into such trouble, and that 'almost the entire British political and media classes are RACIST.' If you're wondering whether she counts her own husband in that, she reposted another tweet attacking the 'Zionist Labour government under Andy Burnham.' So I'd guess that's a yes. ✍️ Andrew Gilligan Article | spectator.com/article/jonath… | @mragilligan

It’s important to remember that the gangs in France have zero fear of the police and are well-armed They feel secure enough to shoot Scorpion submachine guns in residential areas just to show off for a German YouTuber visiting their no-go zone

I’d use boiling oil.

If @uklabour are really on 30% as the polls suggest they would get 14.5 million votes. At the last GE they received 9.8 million votes. Lies, statistics & bullshit.

Christ on a bike, I have just had to show a second form of ID to prove the BlueLight Card was mine. ‘As people are swapping them around’. They should have never given the card to NHS workers.

Time for the Boulogne Boys to help the police.
🇫🇷 A Paris resident, Chloé, was cleaning her hallway after another raid on her home and commented on the government decision to impose a curfew: “No, they won’t lock us all up with a curfew. They’re animals. They’re breaking into our homes. I was with my 80-year-old neighbor; we thought we were going to die. They need to be shot.”

Some of your recent councillors: David Graham — Labour, Fife Council, was jailed last year for 27 months for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. Prosecutors said he groomed and abused her over six months, including at his office. Liron Velleman — Labour, Barnet Council, who co-authored a section of a Hope Not Hate report alongside Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s head of political strategy, Matthew McGregor, was convicted of attempted child-sex offences after sending an explicit video of himself to an undercover police officer he thought was a 13-year-old schoolgirl. He received a suspended prison sentence. Six Labour councillors in Tameside, Greater Manchester, were found to have breached council conduct rules over their involvement in an offensive WhatsApp group. The wider group contained racist, antisemitic, sexist and other abusive messages. Sheila Peacock — Labour, Haringey Council, was suspended after her account posted “all foreigners need deporting”.

Your name is Jean-Marc, you’re 46, and you run a video game and collectibles shop in Nice, wedged between an optician and a real estate agency selling 1-bed flats for €410,000 “with sea view” if you lean far enough off the balcony. You know every GTA San Andreas cheat by heart. You tested all of them in 2005 on the PS2 in your bedroom at your mum’s place. You opened in 2011 with a state-backed loan at 4.7%, and the naive belief that passion eventually pays. It did pay, sort of. €1,900 a month in a good year, after the French tax office has eaten first, second and third. Your commercial rent is indexed on a formula nobody in the Republic actually understands. You sell Funko Pops at €17.99, sealed Pokémon cards, refurbished controllers. You let little Enzo, 12, pay in installments because he’s saving for a Switch 2. You close at 7:30pm and walk home because the harbor parking is €3.40 an hour. Saturday, there’s a protest “against the cost of living.” You also think living costs too much. You almost went. At 5:12pm, your metal shutter gets ripped open with a crowbar. Forty teenagers in tracksuits and crossbody bags walk into your shop like it’s a bonus level. They take the PS5s, the Dragon Ball figures, the till with today’s €280 and even the box of paper bags that say “thank you for your visit.” A guy in a floral shirt films it vertically for TikTok. You step outside and say “stop, this is my shop.” You get hit from behind. Then rocks. They laugh. Floral shirt guy is thrilled: good angle, good lighting. Sunday morning, the police tell you there are “1,400 arrests nationwide” and they won’t send a squad for some Funko Pops. Filing the complaint takes 2 hours 40. The officer types with two fingers on Windows 7. Monday noon, your insurer reminds you that your €1,140-a-year policy has a €3,000 deductible and a “riots and civil commotion” exclusion on page 31, font size 6. Saturday night, an MP explains on TV that “the anger is legitimate” and we “shouldn’t cry over shop windows.” He’s never owned a shop window. He has a state-funded apartment. Sunday, your limited edition Vegeta figures show up on Vinted. “Brand new, never opened, €39, pickup in North Nice.” The seller has 4.9 stars. Monday, the tax office emails you. They haven’t heard about the riots. They’ve heard about your payment deadline. You did everything right, Jean-Marc. That was never the problem. The problem is you were playing by the rules in a lobby where nobody else does. So stop believing in the State. It’s not coming to save you. It’s coming to collect. Stop voting. Every five years they hand you the controller, and it’s never plugged in. Go to the gym. Not for revenge. For you. Because when the system folds, the only asset nobody can loot is the one you built under a barbell. And make money they can’t see. Cash, side hustles, sats on a cold wallet in a sock drawer. Not your keys, not your coins. Not your shop, not your loss. Fuck the system, Jean-Marc. It already did it to you first.
A French video game and cartoon store owner has his store looted in Nice. He gets attacked from behind and then has rocks thrown at him while young rioters laugh

That’s cool
In 1943, a Nazi U-boat reached North America, sent men ashore and built a secret radio station. Then Germany erased it from history. On October 22, U-537 slipped into remote Martin Bay, Labrador, then part of the Dominion of Newfoundland. Its crew unloaded ten canisters and spent 28 hours assembling an automatic weather station codenamed "Kurt". It measured temperature, pressure, humidity and wind, transmitting the data to Germany every three hours. To disguise it, the Germans marked the equipment: "CANADIAN METEOR SERVICE". No such agency existed. They even scattered American cigarette packets around the site! Then U-537 vanished into the Atlantic. "Kurt" transmitted for only a few days before falling silent. Its location was forgotten until a Canadian expedition reached the site in 1981 and found its remains rusting in the tundra. Germany’s secret outpost in North America had remained officially undiscovered for nearly four decades. Today, it is preserved at the Canadian War Museum. Had you ever heard of it?
