Dr Reeta Rao, the founder of SNEHA Academy, lifts a child's face to ensure they look her in the eyes. In this simple gesture Dr Reeta shows the enormous importance placed on ensuring children from the lowest positions in society are given equal value and worth.
Saphara is dedicated to providing transformational education for young people and teachers. Changing the lives of the most deprived + marginalised children, giving them the chance to flourish regardless of social status, religion or gender.

Saphara founder Dr Christine Burnett is delighted to be celebrating 25 years in India.
'When I first came to India in Oct 1998 I could not have imagined the impact that India would have on me. It's wonderful to be here to celebrate this milestone among amazing tribal girls!'
Christine is thrilled to be in India on International Day of the Girl, visiting schools to meet the amazing girls taking part in Saphara Girl Champions. She says 'it's great to see girls creating communities to support each other to Be the Change in their families and schools.'
