#WATCH | Kolkata: On the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, Rebel TMC leader Dr Santanu Sen says, "This bill certainly needs to be introduced. The NEET exam is an all-India level examination. The futures of the hundreds of thousands of candidates who appear for it are at stake. If a scam of this nature occurs, and a bill is brought forward to prevent such scams and ensure the exam is conducted with stricter measures, then I believe everyone should come together to support it.”
On bail of the accused of violence during the students' rally in Kolkata, he says, “This action was taken in accordance with the Supreme Court's verdict, and no one can question the ruling. However, the fact remains that our CM Suvendu Adhikari proved that among those involved in the Kolkata movement, there were individuals who had absolutely no connection to NEET or the student community. Action was taken against them under the ‘Goonda Daman Act’ (Anti-Hooliganism Act)…if anyone exploits such issues to engage in such activities or acts of sedition, the same Act should be invoked against them, and they should be handed the strictest possible punishment.”
#WATCH | Kolkata, West Bengal: On July 21 Commission inquiry report released by Chief Minister, Rebel TMC leader Dr Santanu Sen says, "Today's gathering is truly unique because, until July 21st, we were unaware of how the martyrs and their families had been trifled with. We did not know how the investigation by the Justice Chatterjee Commission had been influenced. We were unaware that the Commission had recommended compensation of Rs 25 lakh for the martyrs and Rs 5 lakh for the injured. However, we learned yesterday, when CM Suvendu Adhikari spoke on the floor of the Assembly, that instead of the recommended amounts, only Rs 2 lakh and Rs 15,000 were actually paid out. This implies that, for so long, these martyrs were treated merely as political pawns. That is why this 'Martyrs' Day 2026' stands apart; it is not just about paying tribute, but about how to accord them genuine respect in the future. We acknowledge the Chief Minister's declaration, and the announcement made here, that the families will receive the funds upon submitting an application, and that financial assistance will be provided from this source as well. For this reason, this 2026 Martyrs' Day was distinctly different."

It was a pleasure to attend the National Doctors' Day programme organised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bengal State Branch.
The programme was also graced by the presence of Smt. Ratna Debnath, Hon'ble MLA of Panihati, as a distinguished guest. I was honoured to interact with and felicitate members of the medical fraternity. As a fellow doctor, I extend my heartfelt respect and gratitude for their unwavering dedication to serving humanity.
#WATCH | Kolkata, West Bengal: Former TMC MP Dr Santanu Sen says, "... As far as the TMC in Bengal is concerned, it was rejected by the people in the last election. Despite a heavy defeat, the leadership claimed they had not lost and refused to admit failure. However, the party is almost on the verge of collapse far earlier than expected. In parliamentary politics, numbers matter..."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, from there he became the Prime Minister of the country in 2014. In last 12 years, he has proved his ability, capability, efficiency, perseverance, developmental attitude. That's why people have given mandate to elect and re-elect him for the third consecutive time..."

Ten lifetimes won't be enough for your Bangla Birodhi Gujarati gang and their stooge Gyanesh Kumar to put even a dent in my DIAMOND HARBOUR MODEL.
Bring everything you have got. I challenge the entire Union of India- Come to Falta. Send your strongest, send one of the godfathers from Delhi. If you have got the nerve, contest in Falta.

❗️ALARMING❗️
This is the murder of democracy in broad daylight.
CCTV footage has exposed how @BJP4India, in active collusion with the @ECISVEEP, is opening ballot boxes without the presence of any relevant party stakeholders. This is gross electoral fraud being committed openly with the full knowledge and protection of the Election Commission.
They have tried every dirty trick, name deletion, voter intimidation, Central Force terror, cash flooding, and failed miserably. Now, in sheer desperation, they have stooped to tampering with EVMs. But Bengal is not Maharashtra, Delhi, or Bihar. We will not sit silently and watch them loot our democracy.
Our leaders Smt. @DrShashiPanja and Shri @KunalGhoshAgain have already begun a dharna outside Netaji Indoor Stadium. Smt. @MamataOfficial will personally visit the spot and take stock of the situation. The people of Bengal are watching this daylight robbery.
We will not allow the Delhi Zamindars and their puppet Election Commission to steal the mandate of the people.

Central Forces under Amit Shah have become BJP’s PRIVATE ARMY- A gang of licensed thugs unleashed on the people of Bengal.
In Udaynarayanpur, an elderly man went to cast his vote with his son. Too frail to walk unaided, his son tried to help him into the booth. Central Forces pushed and manhandled both. The old man collapsed, was rushed to Amta Hospital and declared dead on arrival.
Since dawn, these Central Forces have been terrorising ordinary citizens- slapping women, assaulting the elderly, attacking even children. This is the SITALKUCHI MENTALITY of 2021: cold-blooded, merciless violence against unarmed civilians. BJP paid a heavy price for the blood of innocents in 2021. They will pay an even heavier price in 2026.
And to the JALLADS roaming Bengal: it doesn’t matter which state you come from. It doesn’t matter whose political patronage shields you. Every single one of you involved in this barbarism will be hunted down and made to face the full force of the law. Your reign of terror will end in total ruin.

I urge everyone to vote with courage and conviction. Let your vote firmly reject the harassment people faced in the name of long lines for petty politics.

To every Trinamool Congress leader, party worker, booth agent, volunteer, supporter, and believer in the Maa-Mati-Manush philosophy 👇
Buy every packet of sobuj aabir you can find. Stockpile it. Hoard it. Because on 4th May, there is going to be a very serious shortage. The entire state will be painted green. Rabindrasangeet will buzz from every corner of Bengal. And yes, we will play a little DJ too.
Get ready. The celebration has already begun in our hearts. The streets just need to catch up.
Joy Bangla! Maa-Mati-Manush Zindabaad!

Kolkata, West Bengal: On SIR, TMC leader Santanu Sen says, "Mamata Banerjee has been saying the same since long. If you go back to Assam you will see that in the name of detention camp nearly 19 lakhs of people were sent to the detention camp out of which 13 lakhs are Hindus. Mamata Banerjee has said those who have voted to elect Parliament of India, to elect Prime Minister, to elect Chief Minister and other members of Parliament and members of West Bengal Legislative Assembly, those who are having their voter card, Aadhar card, passport, driving license, ration card etc. They are already the citizens of India, so there is no need to prove further that they are the citizens..."

Kolkata, West Bengal: On CEC Gyanesh Kumar, TMC leader Santanu Sen says, "The way Gyanesh Kumar is conducting the elections, the way he has sent 240,000 central forces in an unprecedented way, he has replaced about 400 government officials, from the Chief Secretary to the DG, 142 OCs to 13 DMs, 72-73 returning officers. Even after this, if there is an incident, it is not the responsibility of Mamata Banerjee, because now the whole administration is under the control of Gyanesh Kumar. Those who were once banished from their own home state and declared ‘tadipar’ are now coming to Bengal and openly threatening our people to stay indoors on 23rd and 29th. Following their leader’s cue, BJP’s লেঠেল বাহিনী is going door-to-door, terrorising ordinary citizens and threatening Trinamool Congress workers.
It has come to my notice that these goondas barged into the residence of a Trinamool Congress supporter in Sabang, Sathi Gorai Kuila, and abused and intimidated her in the presence of her two-year-old daughter. BJP, drunk on arrogance, seems to believe that bullets and terror can achieve what ballots cannot.
But Bengal has the perfect antidote. And that antidote will be administered democratically, by the people themselves. I openly challenge the Bangla-Birodhi Bohiragotos to be here, in Bengal, on the 4th of May, when that happens. There will be Rabindrasangeet. There will be DJ music. Make sure you don’t miss it.

It is deeply unfortunate that the Prime Minister chose to mislead the nation rather than address it honestly.
Let me put this on record. Trinamool Congress has always championed higher political representation for women. We have the highest proportion of female elected representatives in both Parliament and the State Legislature. In the Lok Sabha, 37.9% of our elected members are women. In the Rajya Sabha, we have nominated 46% women members. The question of opposing Women's Reservation does not arise and never has.
What we are fundamentally opposed to is the Delimitation exercise that the Modi Government was plotting to push through by using women as a shield for its vested political agenda. What we are fundamentally opposed to is the altering of Babasaheb Ambedkar's Constitution, the division of this nation and the usurpation of power through gerrymandering, by redrawing political contours to hand greater representation to BJP-ruled states at the expense of others. This is an assault on federal democracy. And we will not watch it happen in silence.
If this government was genuinely serious about this noble cause, why did it wait nearly three years after the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill on September 28, 2023? Why rush it through when several states are in election? And why couple it with Delimitation? Trinamool Congress has stood for women for decades. We will continue to. But we will not be lectured on a subject that the ruling dispensation neither understands nor respects.
And Mr. Prime Minister, the next time you address the nation, have the courage to do so from the Floor of Parliament, where you are subject to scrutiny, challenge and accountability. What you did yesterday was cowardly, hypocritical and fork-tongued. You can feel power slipping through your fingers. And you are prepared to go to any extent to hold on for just a little while longer.
That is all this was.
