Thank you, @ayushmannk , for amplifying the voices of children of migrant families who face risks like school dropout, malnutrition and child labour.
Your support spotlights the importance of kinship care so children can continue education and stay healthy and protected.
A purposeful field mission for @ayushmannk, UNICEF India National Ambassador — where he saw community action shaping safer, brighter futures for children.
In Jalna, Maharashtra, he met families, frontline workers, and local leaders united by one purpose: protecting every child and helping them grow with dignity, hope, and opportunity.
Because when communities come together, children don’t just survive — they thrive.

Speaking at #MumbaiClimateWeek on Nature, Food Systems and People: Resilient Pathways for the Global South.
Climate shocks disrupt food, water & health services, impacting a child's first 1,000 days, when good nutrition is paramount for learning, work ability & health for life.

Climate change is more than an environmental problem—it's a child rights emergency. Around the world, nearly 1 billion children live in countries at very high risk. They suffer from a crisis they didn't cause.
At Mumbai Climate Week, UNICEF India made it clear: Put children at the heart of climate solutions, Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF India Representative, joined a panel on nature, food systems, and people—finding resilient paths for the global south.
Child-focused investments in nutrition, education, and social protection are essential. They offer the best returns for our future. No climate plan works without protecting every child's right to a livable planet.
Every climate talk must include child rights.

At the panel discussion, ‘From Principles to Practice for Safe, Inclusive, and Empowering AI,’ hosted by UNICEF in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), senior policymakers, industry leaders and child rights advocates highlighted the urgent need to place children at the centre of AI design, deployment and governance, so that rapidly evolving AI systems can be harnessed to expand opportunities for children while safeguarding them from emerging digital risks.
