Historic synagogue 'attacked with fireworks' during Jewish New Year, just days after Miliband unveils Israel sanctions trib.al/RlcGSAf
Thank you @DailyMailUK @NatalieLisbona for recording the testimonies that so many won’t:

The roots people, the roots that affect society as a whole.
After attacks on synagogues, Jewish institutions, community ambulances and now Jews targeted in Golders Green, the UK government can no longer claim this is under control.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s statements are no substitute for confronting the roots of antisemitism festering across United Kingdom.
British Jews should not need security patrols and emergency volunteers to live openly as Jews.
Enough words. The UK must act decisively and urgently.
Genuine question. At what point does an antisemitic attack - an attacked fuelled by hatred - become a terror attack?
PM thanks two Jewish charities - community set up and funded initiatives that support all, Jewish and not. The former, an Orthodox Jewish security patrol. The latter, lifesaving ambulances - an organisation that was recently attacked also in Golders Green.
Just fyi
The UK Jewish community is no longer safe here. Our children, are not safe.
Weekly hate marches, record levels of antisemitic attacks, rising levels of fear - have been little more than addressed, in subtle nods.
Many are making active plans to leave, and I fully understand why

Two people have been stabbed in Golders Green - the heart of London’s Jewish community - at the bottom of my road. The Government needs to get to the root cause of this problem. There can be no stone left turned. The silent majority needs to speak out now. Before it really is too late. Although I fear it already is.

Very sad to learn of closure of the brilliant Immanuel College at the end of the current academic year. A real blow to Bushey and the Jewish community.
Yet another victim of Labour’s VAT raid on private schools.

I recently asked Jewish students at a leading UK university if they saw a future for themselves here. Not one said yes. Today Hatzolah ambulances, whose sole purpose is to save life - ANY life - are burned in London. A country where Jews no longer feel they have a future is already in crisis.
Sir Mark Rowley at @CST_UK fundraiser tonight:
“It’s too early for me to attribute last night's attack in Golders Green to the Iranian State. That's for our counter terrorism teams to determine through their investigation. But whoever is responsible, the impact is serious.” 👇
Sir Mark: “We believe the three suspects were involved, and we are pursuing all lines of inquiry at pace and making good progress, including the online claim of responsibility by an Islamist group who claimed other attacks across Europe and had potential Iranian state links.” 👇
Sir Mark @CST_UK: “I want to acknowledge the extraordinary speed and professionalism of local volunteers who responded within minutes last night.”

We are absolutely heartbroken that this is how low Britain has sunk. This horrific act truly plumbs new depths.
Hatzola is a volunteer-run ambulance service run by the Jewish community but catering to everyone, Jews and non-Jews alike, working with the NHS to save lives as fast as possible. They provide outstanding medical care at lightning speed every hour of every day, and fundraise to buy ambulances and equipment. They are truly a shining example of the Jewish community coming together to help everyone in the most fundamental of ways by giving the gift of life.
Burning their ambulances in an attempt to put them out of action is a truly repulsive act of antisemitic hatred in a Britain where Jews now have to keep everything from schools to synagogues under constant guard. Our society has become infested with the sickness of antisemitism.
In this case it is not only about catching the perpetrators and restoring the ambulances, but about politicians accepting that by tolerating everything from hate marches to hate preachers, they have created this sickening mess, and time has run out for them to act. The law must change, fast, but so must society.
The people spewing obsessive conspiracy theories about Jews, Zionists and Israelis are not social justice warriors, they are hateful bigots who are feeding this madness and must be stood up to and told as much by ordinary decent people.

The deeply shocking thing, Prime Minister, is that it’s not deeply shocking.
And the UK Jewish community’s reaction? To support @Hatzola, a Jewish charity which helps all people, whether they are Jewish or not.
ÂŁ20k in 2 hours - and counting. A special organisation, set up by a special community,

The deliberate arson attacks against Hatzola ambulances in London are a particularly sickening assault - not only on the Jewish community, but on the values we share as a society.
Our Hatzola volunteer ambulance corps is an extraordinary service, whose sole mission is to protect life, Jewish and non-Jewish alike.
The targeting of Hatzola by people so committed to terror, hatred and the desecration of life is a most painful illustration of the ongoing battle between those who sanctify life and those who seek to destroy it.
At a time when Jewish communities around the world are facing a growing pattern of these violent attacks, we will meet this moment with shared resolve and stand together against hatred and intimidation.

As we mourn the dead at Bondi Beach we should remember that these blameless people have been killed just because of who they are. It is a long time since Jewish people faced this kind of horror.
Antisemitism is a light sleeper.

CST condemns the appalling attack that appears to have targeted a Chanukah celebration on Bondi Beach in Australia.
Chanukah is a Jewish festival that celebrates light and religious freedom and it is abhorrent that such violence was directed at a moment of communal joy. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the Australian Jewish community at this awful time.
CST will continue to work closely with police, government and community partners to protect Jewish life in this country, including discussions this morning to increase security and policing for Chanukah events in the UK over the next eight days.
