The #DATA results disappointed this morning. To be honest, would have got out this morning but failed to get reasonable loss. So, I can wait, I usually do. Sorry if anyone followed me in. Otherwise, my portfolio starts week very positively +0.21%.

Portfolio down -1.3% this week, a set back has been waiting to happen. Trouble in the Gulf again means main support from #SHEL +3.3% & #BP +4.6%. Partial sale of #BEZ to fund new holding #DATA could have been better timed. Adds; #TSCO, #DGE, #LMP, #GRG, #GSCT, #HMWO. YTD +12.9%.

Took Miliband a while to find the self destruct button at the FO, but like the Department of Energy, not a lot of outcomes considered on his actions. Never mind, he gets the Muslim vote.

New initial holding in Global Data #DATA.L at smidge under 74p ahead of interims. Contrarian view to market with analysts broadly +ve and medium term 120p possible. This will be funded as part of my #BEZ wind down to restore cash balance.

Increase in portfolio over week by +0.4%, admittedly held up by reinvesting a chunk of cash into UK Gilt #T56, doubling my holding. Less influential regular ADDS to #REL, #PHP, #MONY & #RKT. Otherwise, 4 XDs in a quiet corporate news week. Portfolio YTD +14.4%.

Univested cash from dividends used to ADD to my Gilt Holding #T56 at dirty price of £93.50p, using recent fall on debt and interest fears to double my holding, pushes Gilts & Bonds to modest 7% of portfolio. Yield of ~5.75% is well in excess of my portfolio income target of 4.5%.

Star of the week is for sure #CSN following H1 results, up +15.3% this week with increased divi to come. #TCAP now recovered most of post results setback +4.7% this week. Overall for week +0.4%, and YTD +13.9% still a little way off the ATH.

Portfolio ends week on ATH, a busy week with results inc. #HSBA, #TCAP, #WPP, #HIK & #DGE. HSBA & TCAP lost some ground after recent runs. WPP soared +37.7% on recovery hopes, tho GSachs remains -ve with 275p target. Reinvest adds; #RKT, #MONY, #REL & #PHP. Wk +1.3%, YTD +14.7%.

#AZN CEO lost about £2.5m this morning on paper as market reminded that mega pharma mergers do not work. I know, I've invested through them. Waken up and smell the coffee Mr Soriot. I'm a holder for now but did thankfully reduce at £140 earlier this year.

A very busy week to end July with (for me) 16 results and 5 XDs. Most results received positively with exception of #ABDN, but most gave back some or most of those gains. #GRG was standout +18.8% even after Friday pull back, #MCG -5% faired worst. Wk +0.9%, July +2.5%, YTD +13.2%

Been distracted this week but did not feel +ve for portfolio with largest hold #GSK falling on a PIII clinical trial terminating, for the week down -2.3% after Friday intra day bounce. Support from #SHEL & #BP resulting in small overall folio gain of +0.4% this week. YTD +11.8%.

A slightly +ve move Friday but all over the place in the past week, ending down -0.8% fair vs FTSE fall. A spurt from #VOD this wk +11.5% makes it biggest riser but small holding. #AZN & #GSK biggest fallers by value. Meanwhile #SHEL & #BP +ve on Gulf kicking off. Folio YTD 11.1%

A dour week, and Friday broker targets for a number of holdings equally so. Bigger hits from #SEIT -25.8% on wind down vote, and #REC -14.5% with profits and dividend down on FY, small ADD to REC. 1st divi from #REL. Japanese ITs each +7-8% to ATH. Folio for week -0.7%, YTD +9.7%

Up +1.06% this week puts folio at a new ATH, exceeding February pre Iran war highs. Significant moves this week in #TCAP +8.9% & #AAF +9.2%, the latter had golden cross signal. #BTRW -4.9% & #REL -4.7% biggest fallers. Adds; #LMP, #GRG, #DGE, #GSCT & #HMWO. Folio YTD up ~10.3%.

More holdings down than up but week ended -0.1% just a little underwater. No significant corporate news. Biggest portfolio change was new 3i Group #III holding (see earlier tweet). Adds; #MONY, #PHP, #REL & #SSE latter reaches target holding so last add for now. Folio YTD ~+8.5%.

Beazley #BEZ has been a rock of stability in recent times as bid trundles to a conclusion. At some point I need reposition a considerable investment, today I started that process by selling ~25%. Used for initial stake in #III at £21.40p. A private equity IT, with a decent yield.
