Remembrance Day is an annual event held on November 11 to honour the end of World War I and to honor all those who have died in conflicts. It is also known as Armistice Day. A 2 minute silence is held at 11am to mark the moment the fighting ended in 1918. We will remember them.
This week is #intensiveinteractionweek2025. Intensive interaction is a way of teaching early communication and interaction skills to people who do not find it easy communicating or being social. Please follow the link for more information intensiveinteraction.org/

Today is #DLDday2025 DLD is when a person has significant on-going difficulties understanding and/or using spoken language. DLD is not cause by any other medical condition. DLD affects around 2 children in every class of 30. Almost 700,00 people in England have a diagnosis of DLD

DLD can impact learning, friendships & everyday life across the lifespan.

There’s nothing like an end of service report to get you reflecting on the year’s progress. It can sometimes be hard to see the differences you make in the moment but looking back over the last 12 months, I could not be prouder of our little AP SALT team 🥰 @SandwellSPOT

Some amazing and thought-provoking talks at the @NAPLIC conference today! Here is a thread of some of our highlights of the day ⬇️
BCU and a panel of parents explained the research they've carried out into how we deliver DLD diagnoses. It made us think about the changes we can make as a team to make this a more positive and less overwhelming moment for the families we support!
Thanks again @NAPLIC and all the speakers for an amazing day!
