HE DID IT!!!! The entire internet needs to stand up and give Phil Demers, aka The Walrus Whisperer, a round of applause 👏🏻👏🏻
He said he would DRAIN THE TANKS, and he has. This has been nearly 15 YEARS in the making. He sacrificed more than most realize when he chose to become a whistleblower exposing the decrepit conditions these majestic, sentient beings were imprisoned in.
Phil is a real-life hero and deserves a statue of him with his bullhorn 📢
God bless you my friend 🙏🏻

Matters during these few days help objectivity. It’s easier to see world views and group dynamics. All interactions in these areas are easier. Newness and change comes to mind and the impetus to be innovative and spread your wings emerges. If someone seems cool it may be passing so objectivity help to maintain an even perspective. Working in groups and with associations is either more active or you are inclined to connect. Friendships are stirred. Negotiations benefit.

Gurus who promote “manifesting” or the "law of attraction" insist that our thoughts can determine our success in life. This idea isn’t just wrong; it’s dangerous. Here's why. psychologytoday.com/us/blog/…

Starting January, animals who survive abuse in Florida will finally have a safeguard that follows their abusers, not them.
Florida is creating an animal abuse database designed to stop pets from ever being returned to people who have harmed them. For the first time, shelters and authorities will be able to check real records before placing an animal in a home.
For years, gaps in the system allowed known abusers to adopt again, putting innocent lives back at risk. This database closes that door by keeping cruelty on record and out of reach of vulnerable animals.
Animal advocates say this step could prevent repeat abuse and save countless lives. It sends a clear message that harming animals has lasting consequences.
For pets who already suffered once, this change means something powerful: a real chance at safety, healing, and a future free from fear.

Fireworks.
Just don't.
Please.
It's so cruel.
Stress kills wildlife.
Please choose, and teach your children, kindness.
We have so many ways of entertaining ourselves which don't involve the suffering and death of animals.

At last, there’s a real chance to end greyhound racing in America.
A new bipartisan bill in Congress would ban commercial greyhound racing nationwide. It’s called the Greyhound Protection Act of 2025. If it passes, West Virginia’s two remaining tracks would stop live racing for good.
Right now, West Virginia is the last state where the dogs still run. The tracks are at Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras in Nitro. For years, people have argued over money, jobs, and tradition. But it always comes back to the dogs.
Public records show what these animals face on the track. Broken backs. Broken necks. Head trauma. Seizures. Paralysis. That’s not a sport. That’s suffering.
The bill also targets the ecosystem that keeps racing alive. It would ban live lure training and open field coursing. It would stop betting on simulcast greyhound races from overseas. It would block breeding and selling greyhounds for racing. The goal is simple: close the pipeline of pain.
West Virginia tried to deal with this at the state level before. The industry survived with subsidies and political deals. This time, Congress is stepping in. Sponsors from both parties say it’s time to move on and help workers and communities shift to safer, kinder jobs.
We can respect local history and still protect animals. Ending racing doesn’t end our love for greyhounds. It lets them be what they were always meant to be - companions, not commodities.
If you’ve ever looked into a greyhound’s eyes, you know they deserve better. This bill gives them that chance.
