🚨 How to Respond to an Opioid Overdose 🚨 Every second counts. Here’s what to do if someone is experiencing an opioid overdose — you could save a life. SIGNS OF OVERDOSE 🔍: -💧 Pale, clammy skin. Blue or purple lips/nails. -🫁 Slow or no breathing. -💔 Slowed heartbeat or unresponsive. -😴 Unable to wake or speak. TAKE THESE STEPS IMMEDIATELY🆘: Call 911 📞 – Stay on the line. Tell them it’s an overdose. Administer Narcan (Naloxone) 💉 – Use the nasal spray version if available. – Tilt the person’s head back and spray 1 dose into one nostril. – If no response in 2-3 minutes, give a second dose in the other nostril. Perform Rescue Breathing/CPR 🫁 – If trained, give rescue breaths or chest compressions if they’re not breathing. Stay with them ⏱️ – Keep the person on their side (recovery position) if they’re breathing. – Stay until help arrives. More Narcan may be needed.
