The Chakan traffic police on Monday launched a special drive against vehicles with tinted windows, fancy number plates and modified silencers at Chakan-Talegaon Chowk.
During the drive, action was taken against four Mahindra Thar SUVs and three Toyota Innova cars for using tinted windows. Two Bullet motorcycles with modified silencers and 12 two-wheelers fitted with fancy number plates were also penalised.
The drive was conducted in the presence of Nilesh Deshmukh, assistant commissioner of police (traffic), Pimpri Chinchwad; Deepak Gosavi, senior inspector of the Chakan traffic division; sub-inspector Panhale and other traffic police personnel.

ZORAWAR'S INDUCTION SLIPS TO 2028-29 AS ARMY WANTS HEAVIER ARMOUR 🇮🇳🇨🇳
The Army wants Zorawar's armour upgraded to resist 30mm armour-piercing rounds, pushing it from STANAG Level 4 toward Level 6.
The current tank weighs around 25 tonnes with a 760 hp Cummins engine.
Heavier armour could push that to 30-32 tonnes, which may force a more powerful engine and fresh rounds of testing.
China's rival Type 15 tank weighs 33-36 tonnes with a 1,000 hp engine, but Indian planners say Zorawar can't simply copy that approach.
The Army plans to field 354 tanks total, the first 59 from DRDO and L&T, with Tata Advanced Systems lowest bidder for the remaining 295, though no contract is confirmed yet 🇮🇳🇨🇳

When in Kashmir, I realised that at a time when shopian or any ther apple hub used to be burning with violence, the apples were reaching Azadpur Mandi, Delhi non stop.
I visited Azadpur and tried to study the orchestration. A contractor told me that they spend almost six months in Kashmir prior to harvesting, bribing the separatists, OGWs, and sonon. Roads would be decided for apple transportation and no protest or incidents would happen on those.
In case of Balochistan too, similar things must be happening, though players would differ.
Copper worth approximately PKR 4 trillion has reportedly been sold from KP mineral resources.
But here the strange part:
When these minerals are being transported, suddenly there are no terrorists and no security threats.
Yet, so far, not a single vehicle transporting minerals from KP has been burned, seized, or attacked.

The Khadakwasla dam chain, which supplies water to Pune, has 25.70 TMC of water available today. Because of this low stock, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started a weekly water cut from today, Thursday, October 15. Water supply will be shut across the city every Thursday. The Khadakwasla chain includes Panshet, Warasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla dams.
PMC made the decision after considering the break in rains, rising water demand, and the possible effects of El Nino. The dam stock is lower than usual for this time of year. The plan is to save water and make the available stock last until August 2027.
The state government has also asked all bodies to cut water use by at least 10% from October 16.
What it means for you?
Every Thursday: No water supply across Pune city.
Friday and Saturday: Supply may restart late or come with low pressure.
Construction: Drinking water must not be used.
Vehicle washing centres: Asked to stay closed.

This is Khadakwasla Dam water levels today. A drastic drop in the water levels within one month is simply not possible. The canals are flowing full flow down stream.
