We are sad to let you know of two recent deaths in our community.
The first is AJ, who passed away on May 6. A visitation and memorial took place this afternoon at Rosar Morrision. Obituary: dignitymemorial.com/en-ca/ob…
There was a fire related to a mental health crisis in the Sanctuary/George Hislop encampment tonight. No injuries, thankfully. Fire personnel, including captains, on the scene were tremendous and gracious. Staff on scene working with those impacted to provide supports they need.

After 18 years in leadership at Sanctuary, including the last eight as E.D., Alan has chosen to temporarily step down from his role effective Nov 1st. He will be taking time space to re-evaluate his formal leadership role in our community.
For the time being, the board has appointed Thea Prescod to be our Interim E.D., at least until July 2022. Thea has been a part of our staff team for almost 19 years. Her smiling face, infectious laugh & big heart are cherished throughout our community.
