Replying to @IrishRail
@IrishRail Hi folks, trying to book Cork to Dublin 6 Sept but cannot select seats for the Mallow to Heuston leg due to bus transfer from Kent to Mallow? No option to pick my seats for the train segment.

I was dressed exactly like this when I was run over in Moycullen in broad daylight.
The factors that most strongly influence cyclist safety are driver speed, enforcement levels, road layout, and safe cycling infrastructure, not what we are wearing. A 🧵
👀 Can you see me now?
The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists.

Brutalist, cheap to maintain. A huge disappointment.
Hopefully all of our elected officials will raise queries into how this cost €7m and seems to have deviated from the original plans significantly.
Council shouldn't get off lightly delivering this crap.

President Michael D. Higgins and Sabina would like to thank all of the many members of the public who have written to them to wish them well as the President tonight completes his term of office. The thoughtfulness of so many people in writing to them is greatly appreciated
Long overdue
From Monday 18th August 2025, Cork City Council will introduce filtered permeability on York Hill which will be closed to through vehicular traffic between Wellington Road and Summerhill North.
To support sustainable travel in the city, two-way pedestrian and cycle through access on York Hill will be retained. Vehicular access will be maintained to residential properties on York Terrace accessed via Summerhill North.

Hi @corkcitycouncil !
Why are you designing cycling infrastructure in 2025 that leads to direct conflict between bike users and pedestrians, and then spits bike users directly back onto the road before a narrow bridge with zero priority?
This really isn't acceptable.Clontarf St
Hi @IrishRail can you please ask the conductor to enforce the Quiet Carriage on the 10.25 Cork-Dublin currently halfway en route? Kids running around and everyone on phones everywhere. Thanks.
Petition @corkcitycouncil to either (a) paint, (b) green or (c) demolish and start over with this eyesore of a car park 🥲
Our lovely quays deserve better.
Contraflow cycleway for North Main Street please @corkcitycouncil
20 cars parked illegally along the street. A daily occurrence.

Bus Eireann once again leaving passengers stranded!
225 16.20 service from Kent Station no show.
30 mins waiting.
225 pulls up, dumps passengers out and drives off stating he's not boarding passengers
This service @IrishRail @TFIupdates advertise to connect people to Airport.

Embarrassing
@CorkAirport @Buseireann
Machine for tickets broken yet again and turned off with not even a simple paper notice to inform passengers of alternatives.
Passengers deserve better. Visitors deserve better. So, so embarrassing.
Second largest gateway to Ireland!
Easter Saturday early morning services- 220 - utter failure once again from Bus Eireann to run a proper service on the city's only 24 hour route.
Why bother.
MacCurtain Street public transport corridor..
No less than 8 vehicles parked across the bus lane for the night, and paths blocked too.
Incredible sights and not a Garda to be seen.
Great to see such demand for bus services at Cork Airport at 1pm on a weekday afternoon.
We need more frequent options and more routes serving all areas of the city and county alike

MacCurtain St is now worse for pedestrians than it was before the public realm works.
Paging @corkcitycouncil
