Can anyone shed light on the ‘parishes’ that are used to describe PEI geography in some of the mapping apps?

The comfortably housed sometimes need to be reminded that they’re still comfortably housed when new housing is being built for others to become comfortably housed.

I have this image in my mind of the western end of PEI tipping into the sea from the weight of all the Islanders heading that way to view the eclipse…

This is not a duplex. It’s a 4plex. Mid block and all connected. Structure is essentially a square with 4 garage units detached off the lane. This fits in every community every where! #gentledensity #missingmiddle

Nugget in today’s CBC article about the housing/grocery news: “Liberals also will now require municipalities to repeal or amend exclusionary zoning policies in order to access the government's housing accelerator fund.”

Not sure specifics, but exclusionary zoning is typically single use (think traditional R1 - single detached dwellings only - in PEI municipalities). We may start to see an accelerated shift, although many municipalities are already starting to have this conversation.

CBC’s Current is exploring some of this at the moment, talking about federal roles in municipal planning and housing, for those who are interested.
