Max is a JDS graduate now continuing his Jewish education at NYHS. His story speaks to both the challenges Jewish students are facing — and what strong Jewish schools offer. “A Jewish high school is more than a refuge from antisemitism.” After both older siblings faced campus Jew-hatred, Seattle-area teen opts for Jewish high school jns.org/news/u-s-news/after-…

The warming up of Latin America to the US and Israel side is severely under-discussed in everyday life. Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras, Venezuela (!), and Peru. Just in the last 2 years. This feels big.

Shabbat shalom from a recovered antisemite who fell in love with Am Yisrael. No, Am Yisrael is not his name. If you want to buy the t-shirt, please bug Amir Epstein and ask him to make the merch available on Tafsik‘s website already. Love from #Jerusalem 🤍 @Tafsikorg

Today is the anniversary of the six day war in 1967. As a result of Israel’s overwhelming victory, Jewish families that had been ethically cleansed from the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem in 1949 were finally able to return home.

"Saliman was born when the moon was full and round and the rains refused to come, I used immersive language to invite readers into a culture and experience that is very different from their own. And, given the importance of poetry and song in Yemenite culture, I mimicked the cadence with my words." - Erica Lyons, Distinctions Journal distinctionsjournal.org/sali…
