The Samford community mourns the loss of Derrick Moore, who heroically died rescuing a girl from a rip current in South Carolina.
A 2001 graduate, Moore played football and ran track at Samford before becoming a beloved teacher. We lift the Moore family in prayer.
Our Teacher Education faculty hosted a welcome-back breakfast to thank Trace Crossings Elementary for welcoming our ESEC and ELMN junior block students year after year. We value this partnership and the many Samford graduates who teach and lead there. 🍎☕
