“It is a matter of great pleasure that two long standing demands of the people of Odisha have been fulfilled today. A rail line between Balasore district’s Jaleswar to Chandanswar has been sanctioned. The line was earlier proposed till West Bengal’s Digha, but due to CM Mamata Banerjee’s non-cooperation, the project was shortened. Another rail link project between Cuttack’s Baramba to Natyagarh’s Khandapada has also been sanctioned. Work on these projects will begin soon.”

Odisha is home to some of the finest mango varieties. A number of them are cultivated by farmers across Odisha, including in Dhenkanal, Anugul and Deogarh.
@nafedindia has developed Farmer Producer Organisations in Chendipada block of Angul district and is helping mango farmers realise higher returns through better market linkages. Happy to share that farmers from FPOs in Angul district have sent approx. 2 metric tonnes of mangoes to @Safalproducts in Delhi through Indian Railways.
