🌌 In 1929, Edwin Hubble demonstrated a linear relationship between a galaxy’s recessional velocity and its distance — known as Hubble’s Law. This empirical evidence showed the universe is expanding, providing the first observational basis for modern cosmology & Big Bang model 🔭

The statue of Prometheus is finally finished.
It was cast in Paris, crossed the Atlantic, and was assembled at Starbase. It took us 100 days to go from nothing to this.
People of the West, we have lived through an era devoid of dreams, devoid of destiny.
But the time has come to reclaim our dream of antiquity.
In a few months, we will start building a new city. It will be the most magnificent city in all of history.
After all, the great dream of the West has always been to rebuild Rome.
Come walk beside us in this endeavor. The world is waiting.

Starship will expand the aperture of physics research by placing much larger telescopes in orbit and giant ones on the Moon
Starship reached orbit for the first time on Monday. One of my favorite potential use cases is launching the next generation of space telescopes faster and with far fewer constraints.
Today, engineers designing the largest space telescopes face extreme mass and volume limits that forces them to make telescopes lighter, foldable, and dependent on incredibly intricate deployment mechanisms, adding years of engineering complexity and increasing the risk of failure.
Starship changes that tradeoff. Thanks to its massive payload capacity and volume, telescope builders could "convert risk into mass": build heavier, simpler observatories instead of optimizing every component around launch constraints.
That could accelerate the next generation of space telescopes, and astrophysics research, by decades!

A horrific scene of severe flooding at the Rasuwagadhi border point on the Nepal-Tibet border.
The strong currents wreaked havoc across the area, leaving 400 pilgrims and 105 Indian tourists also missing in the Nepal floods.

“Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.
Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.”

Pangea Proxima is a hypothetical supercontinent that may form in about 250 million years as tectonic plates shift, potentially merging North America with Africa and Australia with Asia. The Atlantic Ocean might widen then close due to new subduction zones. Extreme heat, up to 55°C, and aridity could make 92% of Earth uninhabitable for mammals, risking mass extinction. Adaptations like hibernation or nocturnal lifestyles may help, but deserts and a toxic Medi-Pangaean Sea could limit survival. Alternative supercontinents like Amasia are possible, and predictions are speculative due to uncertain tectonic movements.

Recognize them when they challenge socially enforced mass-delusions with science and logic.
