He has planned. We may not always understand it, but we're not alone. We need to be able to trust Him.

Fort Hood shooting survivor Alonzo Lunsford says he wants to witness the execution of the man who tried to kill him, Nidal Malik Hasan, who is expected to be executed by firing squad. Lunsford wants to face the terrorist who tried to take his life and deliver one final message: “I am not your victim anymore. I’m a survivor.” A staff sergeant at the time of the 2009 Fort Hood mass shooting, Lunsford was shot seven times. He survived, but the attack left him blind in one eye, without half his intestines, and suffering from lasting nerve damage. After everything he has endured, he refuses to let the man who tried to kill him define his life. He is no longer just a victim. He is a survivor.

Kacie and I share our real experiences at RootsTech—the classes that helped us most, how we actually used what we learned, the energy of the expo hall and performances, and why the event has been worth the time and cost. #RootsTech youtu.be/38nRw5BcDRc?si=fJv3… via @YouTube

Our service members have committed their lives to protecting the citizens of America and this is one of those times or they did their job. Protecting those girls.
🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Washington mother wrecked her car, got out and attacked her own CHILDREN WITH A KNIFE... ...then 2 United States SOLDIERS who happened to be passing by jumped out, TACKLED HER TO THE GROUND, AND TOOK THE KNIFE!!!! The girls are 9 and 15 years old. On Monday morning, just before 9 a.m., she was heading south on I-5 near DuPont. Troopers say she was driving erratically and she hit the left barrier, swerved across the freeway to the right shoulder, swerved BACK left and slammed into a SEMI TRUCK, and hit the barrier AGAIN. Then the SUV rolled over MULTIPLE TIMES. Somehow, all three of them climbed out. Then, according to witnesses, that's when she pulled a KNIFE on the two girls. But two uniformed JBLM soldiers were driving by, they didn't film it, they didn't keep driving. They pulled over and RAN TOWARD IT. They tackled her to the ground and TOOK THE KNIFE out of her hand. The 9-year-old girl was hurt badly, with BROKEN BONES and a ST*B WOUND. The 15-year-old thankfully has no serious injuries. Both girls are in stable condition. Thank God. The WSP sergeant on the case said that if those soldiers hadn't stepped in, "we can assume the worst." Troopers say she'll be booked on suspicion of DUI, vehicular assault, and FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT once she's released. Please pray for that little girl. And thank God for those two soldiers. WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!
