March 12, 1990 is the anniversary of the Capitol Crawl protest. Hundreds of people with disabilities gathered at the foot of the DC Capitol building to climb & crawl the steps in protest of the ADA's slow movement through Congress. Their advocacy pushed the ADA to passage.

Parents of disabled kids are PRESSED, I’m telling them on TT not to use battle language for their kids’ diagnosis, so let double down:

#FreeBritney is a disability rights issue, because CONSERVATORSHIPS are a disability rights issue. This isn't about proving she's not disabled enough to need one, this is about resisting conservatorships because they abuse disabled people #FreeBritneyDisabilityRights

I love it when teachers are like, "I have high expectations for my students, so that's why I don't let them do late work or retake an assessment,"
and I get to go, "Oh, so you have high expectations for their behavior but not their learning."
Because that's what it is.
