Another round of cuts at the U of M, this time 12–15%.
Tuition has gone up while state funding has remained flat, and the state’s share of the U’s budget has fallen dramatically over time.
Minnesota needs to retake responsibility for funding our public higher education system.

I’m proud the State Fair this year included a drag show. Queer culture also deserves to be seen at the Fair. 🎡🏳️🌈

State funding for the U of M has yet to rebound to 2008 levels. Meanwhile, the U is still the most affordable 4yr in MN for families making >$100K

The voters I’ve talked to are more concerned about forward-thinking solutions to make their lives better.

With federal protections for the Boundary Waters gutted, President Trump and Republicans want to start mining in the watershed. I cannot vote for the Interior budget as long as it contains this horrible provision and I will be working to strip it out.

Minnesota leading the nation in farm bankruptcies should concern all of us.
Skyrocketing fuel and fertilizer costs are hurting farmers and raising grocery prices for families. We have to do better by the people who put food on our tables.
