It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

My theory is that when Italian merchants first traded with Muslims, they tried to copy the Islamic profit-and-loss sharing model for their own deals and shipping expeditions. They saw how uncertain it was compared to the interest-based financing they were used to, and therefore named it after the Arabic word rizq, which became our word “risk”
Every time a Muslim, male or female, sets their boundaries, Westerners lose their minds and suddenly act oblivious to the concept of consent.

Just a never failing trend on this app that Muslim guys with anon anime pic accounts are usually hilarious and based while Muslim girls with anon anime pic accounts are sick, deranged perverts

Actually, making someone remove an article of clothing is not morally equivalent to making someone put an article of clothing on.

I have visited Afghanistan 5 times during IEA. This was the first year I had to explain on 3 different occasions why I didn’t speak Pashto. On one occasion I was asked; “what kind of a Muslim are you?”.

Oh Zakariy, what did you do in this life to earn a blessing that still reaches people six years later?

Many Christian missionary sources complain of their converts returning to Islam. I think some of their statistics are clearly exaggerated, but it's obviously a real phenomenon. Though one of the common ways they try to explain it is to invoke persecution

Ok I’m going to push back here.
1. These are the Muslims owned small businesses you HEAR ABOUT because they are shareable TikTok.
2. You’re not going to hear about the countless architecture, engineering and construction businesses owned by Muslims because that’s boring, who wants to talk about that? But rest assured, they exist.
3. The listed businesses you critique generate a lot of wealth - wealth that can then be used to fund the community’s social and political objectives.
We have a well known restaurant owner here in Toronto who bought a community center, gives out free food, and funds specific candidates running for municipal elections.
4. We’ve been pushing Muslim youth into medicine, law and engineering for multiple generations and now we’re shocked that they’re doing just that. Many are very, very successful but you’re not going to include them in your doomer narrative because they’re part of western institutions. But they’re already creating professional networks - and you haven’t heard of them because you’re hating outside the club.

Talked to an imam in Chicago. He says, without a doubt, the two biggest problems among Muslim youth are sports betting and porn addiction.
