New Blog Alert! We are featuring Ally Peccia, a 4th year PhD candidate from Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University on her IODP Expedition 398 experience titled, “Night shifts, drill cores, and sunrises: extending Santorini’s eruptive record on IODP Expedition 398”.
Just receiving another review that mixes acceptable concerns about a submission with unacceptable subjective and offensive language.
There shouldn't need to be a trigger though for encouraging each other to assume the best and use professional language 😉👍🏼
As author. There's often some decent factual concern mingled in, making it tricky for editors.
Decisions have ranged from funding agencies removing a review citing conflict of interest, to editors rejecting the manuscript.
I appreciate any editor telling off a reviewer 👍🏼👍🏼
3rd time this year to receive a review that descends into offensive language over factual counterarguments.
