Hope Uzodimma made a very strong statement during the APC PCC inauguration and that statement sent chills down Tinubu's spine. Shettima became quiet.
Hope Uzodimma warned the party to be cautious and not to mistake the size of the party structure as support from Nigerians - they're two different things.

For all the perceived imperfections of Celebration Church, pray for us.
We are trying our best
I’d like to think that it will matter more to every true Jesus lover that we are getting the most important things right;
- Teachings are strictly Christ centered
- Members love each other
- People are truly knowing Jesus better and excited about the gospel.
Part of our mission statement as a church is to disciple people excited about God, His message, and His church. I’m glad we’re achieving that.
I could also argue that it is a huge testimony that you can tell our members just by their tweets. For even when Peter tried to keep his anonymity, it was said:
"Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you." Matt 26:73. (See also Acts 4:13, 11:26)
The problem is that a brand of Church where you keep your anonymity and ideologies has been popularized. That brand of Church where the only thing that ties you to the Church is that you actually attend. So when people see Church done in a way I’d argue to be the Bible way, they have an issue with it.
The word Church (grk- ecclesia) literally means ‘called out’ gathering.
Faith in Jesus calls you out and into a community of saints.
It is impossible to do Church the Bible way without, in some sense, losing your ‘individuality’.
This doesn’t mean you can no longer think for yourself. It simply means that you begin to think biblically and have a Christian world view.
And guess what? A group of people who share the same ideology, mission and fellowship may seem cult-like to you.
This is exactly why unbelievers coined the name Christian to describe a behavioral pattern and excitement of a group of people identified with Christ. The name Christian was originally derogatory.
Issues of people crossing the line in admiration isn’t new either.
“As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.
But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I myself am also a man." Acts 10:25-26.
(see also Acts 14:11-15).
I could argue that a Church that doesn’t have to deal with this might be doing things the wrong way.
Just like Peter and the early saints, God will help us to continue to help people never to cross the line.
But trying to constantly shame people for being excited about their Church and Pastor is unkind.
Sometimes the motives also seem suspect. Why Celebration Church? Which Church more than ten thousand members strong doesn’t share these attributes?
Being excited about your Church is not idolatry
Being excited about your Pastor is not idolatry.
(Paul literally said: “Be imitators of me as I am of Christ” 1 Cor. 11:1)
Placing anything or anyone above God is idolatry.
Being grateful for someone who helped you get closer to God isn’t.
If all of these still seem too much for you, please find a Church that works better for you.
It’s one thing to not understand or to even dislike our excitement. But to constantly try to pick on people for it seems suspect to me.
Ultimately, God has our score card. He sees all and will judge all.
Celebrating Macroeconomic stability Amidst Increasing Poverty!
The recent World Bank report which noted improvements in few macroeconomic indicators such as economic growth and revenue generation should not be misinterpreted and mispresented by the incompetent President Bola Tinubu led APC Government as evidence that the standard of living of Nigerians is improving. Nigerians and even the World Bank know that the criteria for economic development is whether poverty is declining, whether jobs are created for our youths, and whether we are reducing acute inequality. In the case of Nigeria under President Tinubu the answer is no. So-called ‘economic stability’ has not resulted in higher living standards, improved employment opportunities, and reduction of poverty and inequality across Nigeria.
An economy is not truly stabilized simply because government revenue increases, foreign reserves strengthen, or GDP grows. Stability exists when citizens can afford food, obtain healthcare, provide education for their children, and live with dignity.
What comfort does higher revenue offer a mother who cannot provide her children with a nutritious meal? What does higher government revenue mean to a family forced to choose between purchasing food and paying for medicine? What benefit do celebrated reforms provide when ordinary Nigerians continue to bear intolerable costs and hardship?
In the report titled, ‘Beyond the Federal Purse: How Higher Revenues Reshaped State Priorities’, The World Bank noted that the Federal Government spent a whooping N7.7 trillion on debt interest payments alone in the first six months of 2026 from January to June. This represents about 124.2% of our total revenue of N6.2 trillion within the same period with debt interest payment exceeding revenue by about N1.5 trillion. How do you explain the unsustainable debt crisis even with exponential increase in revenue that we have had since 2023?
. Imagine a situation where borrowing and revenue have exponentially increased but expenditure on capital projects reduced by about N700billion in the first half of this year. In comparison, the APC led Federal Government spends about 11 times more on interest payment than on capital projects. The explanation is clearly attributed to reckless borrowing, corruption and incompetence of the President Bola Tinubu led APC Government.
President Bola Tinubu and his incompetent team must recognize that intentionally presenting and projecting incomplete economic statistics cannot replace the critical measure of how reform impacts on the welfare of the people. A government cannot expect citizens to applaud statistics while they struggle to survive the effects of its policies. How do you celebrate when about 140 million Nigerians are classified as multi- dimensionally poor with a recent UNDP report listing Nigeria as one of the countries where gains made in reducing poverty have been reversed.

If this is "democracy", then what was the point of getting Babangida and Abacha out in the first place?
Democracy is not supposed to be a "religion" for most Nigerians - a faith you stick with for the rest of your lives.
"Democracy" should improve our lives. If it doesn't, its days are numbered.

For those who think in gallons and US dollars, this is $5.41 per gallon.
The average price of regular gasoline in the U.S. is $4.37 per gallon, according to data tracked by Forbes Advisor and the American Automobile Association (AAA)
So Nigerians, with a GDP per capita of $1,224 (current US$) - are paying more for Petrol/Gasoline, than Americans with a nominal GDP per capita of $90,027 (World Bank, 2025)!!!
Ah, the wonders of APC's epic economic mismanagement, and ersatz "Neo-Liberal Economics".
