it's been a week since Trump began targeting Ilhan Omar and, unlike the raid on Bolton last year which saw condemnations from NYT, WaPo, WSJ on Day 1, theres been zero editorials in these outlets condemning it. It also went totally unmentioned on all four Sunday shows yesterday.
most are. US gun culture is at its core directed at the defense of the state, not its dissolution.
they favor the existence of an American state, though they occasionally disfavor the people that govern it. but the state itself is non-negotiable.

On June 22, hours before the Ford Fireworks, Alonzo Lee-Perkins, 18, fled on foot after officers approached him downtown.
Body camera footage shows Officer David Gonzalez chasing him while repeatedly shouting, “I’m ’bout to shoot you, b–ch,” before firing four times and striking him in the back.
Lee-Perkins survived.
Lee -Perkins faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm, and resisting an officer.
His attorney called the shooting the most egregious in recent memory and demanded Gonzalez be stripped of his badge.
The shooting sparked protests outside DPD’s 3rd Precinct with banners reading “Justice for Alonzo! Drop the charges!”
