Becoming increasingly clear that when the Plan A of anti-football doesn’t work it’s ’can’t play won’t play’ when it comes to playing actual football.
It’s all well and good when we show heart and grind our results but when teams figure it out it’s painful.
The moment teams deal with our long balls, we offer absolutely nothing. Get overrun in midfield every single week #pafc

Been saying all season that our FBs aren’t good enough, our midfield is too weak, striker options are poor, we don’t suit a 4-4-2 and we have no plan B.
But I can’t say that when we win as I get shouted at.
And I can’t say that when we lose because that’s ‘knee jerk.’

Even Bradford and Barnsley at home, I’m starting to look on less favourably. At the time; I ignored the fact we had poor XG in both games. I put it down to the fact that we scored worldies, got ahead and then managed the games out. I assumed in tighter or losing games…
This may seem a bit negative for a team that was top of the league on points per game.
But in truth, we were only ever there due to having played more games during the international window.
And we were probably lucky to ever be there. Right now we’re only 6th PPG. Bare minimum
Meltdowns at the result alone would be OTT.
Meltdowns at the performance and quality of play very much justified.
Ever since November, Cleverley has loved this counter attacking football: it’s been great when it’s worked but now sadly the limitations are being found out.
It doesn’t create that many chances at home against effective deep blocks (see Burton; Wimbledon).
