After some reading up on the rules, it's harsh that Chiesa is dropped from CL squad but at the same time makes sense. He's not a starter anyway, still has the league cup and will probably be used in the league more. Slot obviously wants Rio to get CL experience.
You spend 5 days a week training with them, every week. Try playing on a Sunday when someone (usually me 😬) puts the one good ball in someone's garden and you end up playing with a heavy spongey green champo ball that's overpumped or flat for the rest of the game 🤣
