Our Reception children decided they wanted to make a home for insects so made their own ‘bug hotel’! It even had a swimming pool extension for those insects that live around water. How thoughtful!

Say hello to Kitt, our very special forest school dog - she loves to join in the outdoor fun and learning with the children! She’ll often be seen in our forest school area being taken for a walk by the children of hiding snuggling down with them in a den they’ve built.

Jake has spent weeks trying to perfect this card structure. Resilience, determination and a steady hand has resulted in this success. Not all learning is about what is written in a book. The skills needed to succeed in this simple structure and skills needed to succeed in life.

Today we say goodbye to our amazing Mrs Nelder who opened our nursery 24 years ago! Mrs Nelder is not just a nursery nurse at Saltersgate, she is part of the furniture and is one of the best teachers/friends you could wish for. Happy retirement - we will miss you so much 💗💗💗
