Reminder to every artist seasoned or new. During rough times like this job exploitation and scam internships run rampant. Be careful what jobs or internships you may be taking, they might very well be a scam. Please seek second opinions on opportunities or ask the community.

All my closest friends did fine art, art history, illustration, photography, graphic design, fashion or costume design degrees...most still work in creative industries, education, academia or, are successful business owners.

Painted this spread with all my favourite supplies! 🎨✨ I 'zoomed' in to the landscape in each panel to create a narrative
ALT A spread in my A5 sketchbook, laid out on a wooden background with lots of my favourite art supplies around it. It shows four bubble shaped panels, each with the viewer zooming in each time. It starts with a flat green landscape with mountains behind, a lilac blue sea to the right and a tiny house sat in the grass. Below is a close-up of the pink house and grey roof, which has white flowers and greenery in the foreground and the landscape behind - there's also something on the roof! The next panel shows a close up of the apex of the roof and a small grey heron perched on the edge. The final panel shows the heron's face and his contented expression against the blue sky background.

I'm away from Nottingham at the moment so not at the vigil, but heartsore and with you in spirit if you're there.

A friend invited me to go see Kiki's Delivery Service tonight which was wonderful to see in theatres again. Every time I watch it as an adult, the themes of joy, purpose, art, and burnout feel very close to mind - now more than ever.
From the spoonie side of things, this week might kill me, but I'm so extremely stoked to be here. Semifinal 1 preview was brilliant. (Also shout out to the kind Liverpudlians in the hospitality lounge who offered me their seat and were lovely company) #Eurovision2023
My major Eurovision celeb sighting in Liverpool this week is seeing Alfie hard at work! 😍
Stop what you're doing and say hello to Jake and Alfie, two of our #Eurovision2023 security dogs 🥹
Popping up with a quick last minute reminder for UK artists w/ illo in UK media that they own copyright on - today's the deadline to submit info for this year's DACS claim

The @BigGive #ChristmasChallenge22 starts NOW!
Any donations made to Action for M.E. via tinyurl.com/biggivecc22 will be doubled!
ALT Photo of Sonya Chowdhury, CEO, above her quote. One donation, twice the impact! Help us end the ignorance & neglect of M.E.
Just got Mastodon setup, sounds like I need Hive now? Ah well, I was expecting to need to set up about three new things and see what shakes out. Anyway, Mastodon! @sallyjanethomps[email protected]
Would love to keep connected with you!
Right, well. On a waiting list for a Mastodon server, so we'll see. In the meantime, am copy-pasting people's usernames into a sprawling word document so I can find you all 😬

People seem to have bought into the idea that one person wearing a mask doesn’t matter when no one else is, therefore, why bother? But exponential growth starts small. Breaking chains of infection has wide-reaching implications and can save lives.

Taking note of the replies that mention taking a picture before you leave the house for when you need to reassure yourself later, that's a hot tip!

it is probably the last chance to support your favourite comics on webtoon canvas for completely free.
The coming tipping system will mean, that you have to give up some kind of currency for the series to benefit, and for now you can still CLICK, scroll and help out
THANKS <3

So if you could click on your library comic updates whenever they update in the next months, even if you wanna binge later, that would help out a lot. Because I for example often am only a few clicks away from getting the next higher tier and it's the last money in the pot<3
