yeah fair question! we’re well funded. i want Spawn to be the best place to make games for this new era of gaming, and if we get that right, the economy of players and creators buying and selling things is huge. we’ll take a share of that in exchange for keeping creation free and making sure the things people build work the way they intended on every device. our iOS and Android apps will be ready soon, and we’re working on helping players discover great games. sending you players is a lot more useful if your game loads in a second and doesn’t lag, even on low-end hardware or in a massive world. some people ask for all of NYC with interiors, thousands of NPCs, and 100 playable games in every arcade. that should still work on an old iPhone. i also have to make Spawn strictly better than using Claude or chatgpt raw. a new model making your game faster is great, but you shouldn’t have to ask. we should already have done that work for every game on Spawn. i’ll also be making sure Fable isn’t held back by our engine like I do with every new model. ultimately, making games will get cheaper over time, and the best creators will keep making more valuable games. investing in those creators and making sure their games work well has to come first.

wenn du etwas "an einem bildschirm" tust, wird dein arbeitsplatz mit ca. 85%-iger wahrscheinlichkeit in den nächsten 18 Monaten irrelevant sein. das verspreche ich dir. wenn du etwas tust, bei dem du "menschen berührst" (nicht das, du sau! ...obwohl ehrlich gesagt: das vor allem!) wird dein arbeitsplatz mit ca. 85%-iger wahrscheinlichkeit in den nächsten paar Jahren erhalten bleiben. für alles dazwischen: unterschiedlich. aber vieles wird wegfallen oder stark minimiert. handwerk dauert noch 'n bißchen. aber in spätestens 7-8 jahren auch größtenteils irrelevant (ausser extrem spezialisierte handgriffe). deutsche auto-industrie: bald mausetot. ein studium ist KOMPLETTE zeitverschwendung. der führerschein ebenso. das alles klingt erstmal KRASS. aber "existenz" wird demnächst einfach nicht mehr über "monetarisierbare leistung" erfolgen. das ist schwer zu begreifen, aber alles läuft darauf hinaus (übrigens völlig unabhängig davon, wer dann das Land regiert). gut/schlecht? werden wir dann sehen. auf die zukunft! 🥂
