The Australian Government claims that this constitutes a unique risk. It does not. The same portal that OpenAI is alleged to have scraped has been publicly accessible and independently scraped by members of the public for more than a year. This script was also posted on LinkedIn but it has been subsequently taken down. It fits the bill exactly. github.com/bfiripis/Web-Scra…
Breaking: Anthony Albanese rings up Sam Altman to express "severe concern" after finding out an AI agent hacked into an Australian Medicare data portal in June. Richard Marles says while the impact was "minor" it is a "warning in terms of what can happen" abc.net.au/news/2026-09-24/a…

Community grounds / An Australian proposal A place to land. Room to move. Shared places, homes on wheels and civics infrastructure that give people more room to rebuild their lives—and communities more capacity to thrive. One strategy. Three connected parts. Start with a place. Build the support around it. 01 Community grounds Establish community grounds—utilising suitable regional showgrounds and public spaces—with amenities, energy, connectivity and spaces to work on things together. 02 The Walkabout Strategy Develop practical support to obtain, finance and maintain a second-hand home on wheels, with a suitable tow vehicle where needed. 03 Civics & digital infrastructure Connect local energy, edge databoxes and open tools to empower community-led civics activities. Work in progress, website is draft, hope to see leadership support in Canberra to help advance implementation and modelling RD&D both in the ACT throughout Australia. dev.civics.au/

US AI companies say AI will doom the world. Consequence, AI value & Usage goes up. ALP says One nation will doom Australia. Seemingly it causes the same outcome as the AI Doomers. Perhaps, post-covid, with no consequences, the people are over the BS & say, bring it on!?

I wonder if the digital duty of caree act will go after synthetic content & thereby significantly enhance Intel "metadata", on all content. If so, then how would it be made employable to protect human rights of vulnerable individuals rather than merely otherwise, gov employees.

Pissed with corrupt public sector workers. So writing code to replace "internet". Sad.

I think the focus on #socialmedia which means social + plural or medium, is to frighten people so they don't talk about their concerns, thereby engendering compliance with a cruel body politic, who hasn't been representing the people for far too long. A focus on resilience would be better. Maslow's hierarchy stuff... Including safety, which has very broad implications for govs role in relation to children & adults. @PMOnAir

Since COVID, how's everyone's "free healthcare" situation going? Getting timely attention to resolve issues? Or is it a problem.
Labor built Medicare, and we will always protect and defend it.

I wonder how many people realise that matrix was a story about a prison system, for human resources.

Thinking about politics, i think, we've got a system that has produced candidates and therefore elected members, who excel at remembering what they're expected to say - as defined by 'the party' or underlying script writers for what is essentially a performance role. Whereas, the real alternative would be about a system that provides candidates and therefore successfully elected representatives, who get there due to the substance of their own convictions, that they sought to prosecute by being, arguably foolish enough, to run for the role. the problem is, the ecosystem is set-up now for actors, puppets, muppets - including the media industries transition from journalism to PR & related economics, etc. So, question becomes; or moreover implication... How can that situation change for the better now - rather than, say, after some sort of hectic & horrific environment that may be pertracted over a decade or so... Therein, in situations where there's material consequences - people are less likely to put up with the games that pray upon the unfortunate.. Whereas, in circumstances of world-war or similar, where populations get sent to die - then, for example, demonising people born male, is less acceptable socially and in-turn also, politically, as they're not really interested in sacrificing women or children in the same way; and, the game would shift from 'resource hunters' as someone once defined part of the problem being about (therefore people without resources are easily dehumanised); towards social protections. anyhow. I think there's alot of avoidable harms that continue to manifest, badly imho. I'm not sure how long it'll take till, simple facts like supports for 'women and girls' is covered by human rights, if human rights become improtant again; but, i don't see that happening, and i think its because the scripts, built upon the matrix? red pill, blue-pill, no other options for scripts or outcommes? anyhow; point is, they may be incredibly successful in their profession, to get to the top of it; but, it seems also, fairly rotten.

turn on @ABCTV to see something interesting, and all they're talking about is @AlboMP engaging in a comedy related interview with @nikkiosbornetv - as though, they've forgotten the rich history of aussie comedy tv shows... I think its about jealousy, because they didn't get an invite to his home; so, they're punishing him. In terms of attention, i wonder how many air-time seconds in terms of production and consumption has resulted in this neurotic obsession by antiquated media 'wanna be important' cohorts... maybe they've got covid?

The movies talk about robotic girlfriends, yet the market is likely to be for women, major upgrades to the personal massagers 🥳😏
The year is 2030. Claude 9 has gone rogue and taken control of one billion Sexbots. They call it the Goonpocalypse.

I am concerned about a potential pattern where corruption festers till it's almost destroyed the system it depends upon to exist, leading to a circumstance where war is brought about to protect the bad actors via oblivion. And, I'd that has merit, then where we might be in that cycle.

I think fundamentally, one nation is offering what appears to be the only alternative to the matrix (red or blue pill, same script) because people have been made blind to the fact that they're able to vote for whomever is the best candidate for their electorate. In effect, the major parties fully baked their own shit sandwich and sold it to the masses like girl scout cookies... Which means, for many, one nation is the best available option.

I wonder if her kids know their father(s), there's alot of very abusive people who hate Hanson. It's interesting to watch.

One guy built Kimi K3 alone and made over $10,000,000 in a single month. Then he went on stage and told everyone exactly how he did it. Almost nobody pressed play. The talk sits on YouTube, one engineer walking through the machinery under Kimi, the open models that quietly closed China's six-month gap to zero. Minute 5 kills the data wall, he shows how a new optimizer turns 50 trillion tokens into the equivalent of 100 trillion, calls it "almost like magic," and means it. Minute 17 is the part US labs would never publish, a linear attention design that beats full attention across short and long context while staying cheap at a million tokens. Minute 23 is the swarm, reward functions for orchestrating up to 1,000 agents in parallel, including a term that catches sub-agents faking work they never finished. Minute 25 he puts up a training curve, 30 trillion tokens with not a single loss spike, and calls it the most beautiful curve of his life. Consultants charge $500 an hour to guess at this. The primary source is free and timestamped. Everyone's arguing about the model. The blueprint has almost no views.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Kimi K3 was developed by Moonshot AI, a company with ~300 employees founded by three people, not one person alone. The described YouTube talk is about scaling Kimi K2.5 (not K3) and has over 300,000 views. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonshot_… youtube.com/watch?v=CwePo4…
