Reza Ebrahimi, born in 1987, appeared before Judge Terence W. McCormick on October 7, 2026, for his first appearance/arraignment in CR-018248-26NY, People of the State of New York v. Reza Ebrahimi.
Ebrahimi is charged with five counts, all arising from the September 22, 2026, assault by him on the peaceful rally of thousands of Iranians who were protesting the wave of political executions in Iran and calling for the rejection of the Iranian regime’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, from the UN.
During the rally, Ebrahimi attacked and injured at least one protester, named Mani, causing injury to his eye and face. Among the charges, according to the court, he is charged with Assault in the Third Degree - intentionally causing physical injury.

Debate on Human rights situation in Iran
.@jessikavanlee24 , ECR, Netherlands:
As we mark the World Day Against the Death Penalty this Saturday, we are still faced with the devastating reality of executions in Iran.
In this mandate alone, we have adopted seven resolutions on Iran. But what changes? The repression only gets worse. In 2025, Iran carried out at least 2 159 executions, the highest number since 1981. But we're not just talking numbers, we're talking about people: Taraneh Rahimi, Leila Abolhasani, but also Zahra Shahbaz Tabari and Arghavan Falahi, and so many others. They must be released.
So let us remember: the regime can hear us and so can the brave, silenced people of Iran, so let us keep speaking, keep naming, and keep standing with the Iranian people. And I call upon our national leaders: we must never, ever negotiate with a regime that exploits wars as a pretext to carry out executions of their own people.

Great News 🗞️:
Court will proceed with witnesses against Parviz Sabeti deputy director & high ranking director of SAVAK.
"Heinrich Himmler" of Pahlavi's regime Parviz Sabeti now must answer to victims of rape, torture & executions. To those who support Reza Pahlavi also must know that, he is proud of his father's past.

Systemic abuse cannot be met with diplomatic inaction. Appreciate @petras_petras for keeping the focus on state torture and executions. The RU must sanction all executioners and adopt Mrs. Rajavi’s 4-point accountability mechanism to save lives.

European Parliament 🇪🇺 debate on Iran, 7 Oct 2026:
@petras_petras: Iran's regime remains as consistent as ever with imprisonment, torture and execution of opponents. The EU must urgently expand the list of Iranian officials subject to sanctions. #StopExecutionsInIran

🚨 BREAKING | Supreme Court Upholds Death Sentence for Arghavan Fallahi
Reports indicate that Iran’s Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence of political prisoner and PMOI supporter Arghavan Fallahi, bringing her one step closer to execution.
Fallahi was arrested in Parand on January 25, 2025, and reportedly spent nearly five months in solitary confinement, subjected to prolonged interrogation and physical and psychological torture.
She was sentenced to death on the charge of baghi (“armed rebellion”) by Branch 15 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolqasem Salavati. The sentence was communicated to her lawyer on July 1, 2026.
Fallahi had previously been arrested alongside her father, Nasrollah Fallahi, a former political prisoner from the 1980s who is serving a five-year prison sentence in Evin Prison.

WATCH: Reza Pahlavi promises Iran democracy. His own transition plan gives him the parliament, the government, the courts and the army, with no separation of powers and not one vote cast. Even the IRGC, a U.S.-designated terrorist group, gets folded into his army.

On September 22, as the UN General Assembly opened in New York, a pro-Pahlavi activist entered an anti Iran regime rally across from UN headquarters and violently attacked a young protester. NYPD officers arrested him at the scene.
He was not a random bystander. His own posts show him with Reza Pahlavi, and he helped organize Pahlavi events in New York.
A Reuters investigation published in July found other cases of harassment and violence by Pahlavi supporters in London, the Netherlands, Vienna and Vancouver.

A federal judge just ruled the torture case against Parviz Sabeti, a top official in the Shah's secret police SAVAK, can move forward. Sabeti has worked as Reza Pahlavi's "security adviser," the same Pahlavi who sells himself as a champion of human rights.

Pahlavi calls it "the past." Many Iranians still remember SAVAK's prisons and torture. A leader who won't acknowledge his father's abuses can't credibly promise a democratic future.

The ruthless judiciary of the clerical regime announced that early this morning, two young protesters, Alireza Sepahi, 24 years old, and Alireza Raeisi, 21 years old, arrested during the January uprising in Iran, were executed in Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison.
The Iranian Resistance had previously issued urgent warnings on July 19, July 28, and August 20 and calling to save their lives.
I strongly condemn this inhuman crime and flagrant violation of international law. I urge the United Nations and member states to take immediate action to halt the execution of political prisoners and uprising protesters, particularly the five remaining defendants in the Alikhani Square case.
