Go read my older posts this week I’m a massive Manie fan. But Rassie mentioned something that made me realise we might have something similar to recency bias: call it.... attack bias.
Let’s have the SFM vs Libbok debate purely on defence, and things might look very different.

As a Joburg South boytjie who’s loved Ellis Park for as long as I can remember, please may we never have another Test match there.
FNB is what Joburg and the Lions need. Look at the Stormers’ attendance figures and know that, with the brand of rugby the Lions are playing and a proper stadium, this is possible.
So I’ve heard every reason why FNB shouldn’t be used for Lions rugby. Let me give you some of my facts:
1) The Bulls and Sundowns share Loftus. It can be done without neglecting any sport.
2) The Stormers’ attendance figures show you that big stadiums in decent areas will attract more people. This, combined with good rugby, which the Lions are showing signs of, could make a difference.
3) The Lions are improving, and fans like teams that win. Better stadium = more ticket sales, more revenue.
4) I don’t know the exact logistics, but surely some resources can be shared between the Chiefs and Lions, showing a saving to the bean counters.
5) Maybe we create more unity. Perhaps it cross-populates fans and people start supporting JHB teams in other sports.
Don’t tell me it’s impossible. There are probably reasons we don’t know that make it improbable, but it’s not impossible.
