Simply put, CPDs save lives That’s why AWDT is right behind 'Control the roll' - a sector wide initiative reinforcing the value of crush protection devices (CPDs) on quads. Learn more about CPD’s and @ACCNZ's cashback offer at bit.ly/3Kpxhze @SaferFarms @WorkSafeNZ

Control the Roll is a sector-wide initiative in conjunction with ACC, WorkSafe and Safer Farms to reinforce the value of crush protection devices (CPDs) on quad bikes. Check it out: bit.ly/3Kpxhze
CAN WE HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE?! What is everyone's thoughts on the current situation with rollover protection on quad bikes? Do you use it? Will you be using the ACC Subsidy? Why? Why not? Comment below... GO! @TonyAGWatson @KarenWi71 @lindy_nelson_
Has anyone put a conveyor full time in their yards? If so, can you comment below and tell us why it is a game-changer in your business? #conveyor #makechanges #saferfarms #decisions #nzfarming
"The biggest message I took home was that at 2pm you would make a decision on your quad that you would not make at 8am". - Chris Biddles, Farmer. #decisions #saferfarms #nzfarming #stopandthink
It is a shame that we still roll our eyes when it comes to health and safety on farms in NZ. It should be about looking after yourself so you can make good decisions to go home alive at the end of every single day. How do you gauge when you need to take a break? @TonyAGWatson

Fatigue is a factor... it makes us incapable of making the best decisions. What are you doing to ensure that your mental health and wellbeing is a priority? Thanks to Chris for sharing his story to help others. youtube.com/watch?v=X48b_8zC… #saferfarms #farmstrong #decisions

They’re waiting for you. The people you love spend a lifetime waiting for you when you don’t come home from work. Stop, think and always make the best decision in a moment for it will save your life. #saferfarms #stopandthink #nzfarming #decisions

Different story in NZ. Since 2011 there have been 52 fatalities on farm linked to quad bikes. Average age 52.7yrs old. Of the 52 that died, 6 were under the age of 20, or 9 under the age of 30. The older farmers "done this a thousand times" are the problem here.

Horse. Motorbike. Quad bike.
Honestly, why would you not wear a helmet?! Who's going to feed up if you've done yourself in with a head injury?!
Too often we see poor Farm Safety practice & I’m happy to point it out in order to improve safety culture. However it’s also important to celebrate success like the many people who are normalising the wearing of helmets. Who else wants to join this group #comehomesafe #lensleg

Farming podcast well worth a listen. Always good to learn from others!
ABP's first podcast focuses on the prevention of farm accidents in an emotional interview with two survivors and the lead paramedic for the @AirAmbulanceNI whose task it is to respond to such traumatic scenes. Check out the full podcast bit.ly/39dg5M7 #Farmsafetyweek
