Rising oil prices are feeding inflation concerns and expectations of tighter monetary policy ahead of next week’s Fed meeting. 🥈 SILVER — The sharper move Silver fell 1.1% to $57.35/oz in the same snapshot. Another reminder that silver can amplify precious-metals weakness as well as strength. I’m watching whether buyers absorb this decline as Europe and North America come online. 🔶 COPPER — A firmer signal from China This morning’s SMM report showed Guangdong copper cathode prices rising 820 yuan to 110,460 yuan/tonne. Falling local inventories helped suppliers hold prices firm and pushed spot premiums higher. That is a useful physical-market signal, although one region alone cannot establish a global shortage. ☢️ URANIUM — Asia’s nuclear ambitions keep expanding From yesterday’s nuclear supply-chain conference in Manila: the Philippines is targeting 1.2 GW of nuclear capacity by 2032 and 4.8 GW by 2050, while advancing site assessments, regulation and financing. These remain development targets, but they point toward potential additional nuclear-fuel demand from a new market. 💭 MY TAKE This morning shows why the four metals deserve separate attention.
